1/5th of Pearl Jam played a song in Japan last night, might be the closest we ever get, but we can keep dreaming!
    1/6 or 1/7 I would say.
Or one-fourth of the members of Pearl Jam LLC, a Washington corporation.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I know he’s there for the Cubs, but part of me wonders if it’s a bit of a test run for notoriety.  Kind of like how people say he was taking a poll at the Sphere about traveling.
Most likely just Cubs. I’m jealous.

It is weird seeing Ed not toss tambourines during this. He looks out of place

I’m going to AZ to catch opening day there at least!
Maybe after the years PJ aren’t playing, but as of now Japan is not in the budget 😅

Going to baseball in Japan is next level. The games take 4+ hours because they have a song and dance for every player. Highly recommended.

Also highly recommend. I caught a Climax series game (ie Japanese AL/NLCS) at the Tokyo Dome this past October while visiting Japan.  It had a European football feel to it, with designated sections for fans of the two teams, drums and instruments, supporter chants etc.  Huge interest in baseball in Japan (even pre Otahni). Not surprised they are developing more MLB level players.

I have been to the Tokyo Dome for a Yomuri Giants game, and that place is LOUD. I have been to Sumo in Tokyo, which is kind of long and boring, but a great cultural experience. But if I had time off and could go anywhere in the world on a whim, Japan is at the top of the list. I am not surprised he is there. It has become a top destination for US travelers.

Now that the Eagles are announced at the Sphere through mid-September, have to think theres only room for 1-2 more acts this year, so would likely hear something in the next couple of months if the Sphere was happening this year

I know some people are optimistic but it feels like a similar year to 2023 with just the single US run. In a way this may work out best. Say if the band takes a full years break from May 25 and then returns next year likely with some Europe/US/Canada shows in the usual June/July and September slots.

Agreed…. I’m pretty sure we had rumors about the fall ‘23 run by this time 2 years ago… if nothing starts percolating in the next 2-3 weeks, I would guess that’s it for ‘25.

It sure did, people weren't sure it was real or not. That was after tons of rumors though that confirmed 2 or 3 of the cities

Good call, people thought it might have been a joke! But there were good rumors in advance of that... I definitely had a firm date for Chicago in March of '23 before the teaser came out.

Correct, fall Sphere act begins typically the last weekend of September. If PJ play it it would be announced within the next couple weeks probably. Although most likely scenario is they do what Phish did last year and play for 1 weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

If they’re doing anything Labor Day weekend that needs to come out in the next 30 days. But in terms of fall dates, I fully expect them to play. If nothing announced by end of May then I would be concerned. I think they have more momentum now with Dark Matter than 2022 going into 2023

I’d bet 10 shows in September/October… Then I can see 2026 being Europe and South America with a couple Us stadium shows.
