Has anyone seen the tour rumors thread?  I know it was around here somewhere.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with this girl who saw Eddie Vedder and Simon Le Bon chatting at 31 Flavors last night, so it stands to reason that Duran Duran and Pearl Jam are planning a tour as co-headliners.
The best part about this, is they were both in Minnesota on the same weekend in 2023🤣 I seem to recall people speculating that PJ was going to play the State Fair with them.

Funnel cake + PJ? I'm IN.

I also remember Ed cracking a joke about how he was singing in the shower at the hotel and the person in the room next to him started harmonizing with him. He joked that it was Simon Le Bon.🤣
    I remember that story.

Just wanted to say thanks for the quietness here at the moment. I find it enjoyable when the activity in this thread reflects the state of the rumor mill. Thank you for that.
  • Hey everyone I also wanted to say congrats on keeping the non-rumor-related chatter to a minimum. Thanks.

Two things Ed is prone to doing:

    1) Promising they'll be back to a city soon when there's no real plan for that to happen; and

    2) Saying, "We've got all night" and then playing a set of whatever the standard length is for that particular tour.

Oh yeah. And the third would be, "After this I'm not gonna do much talking..." as prelude to lots and lots of talking. Still, Spokane (and Milwaukee and Detroit and Cleveland and...) is overdue!

I can understand Ohio, because nobody actually goes to Ohio on purpose.  The Michigan stat is interestingly annoying, especially with the rich history of music around the Detroit area.

Ohio is where people from Indiana go because there is so much more to do there.

Cleveland, Cincy, Columbus, Toledo, Akron, Dayton... all those are good cities to see a show.

Osheaga Montreal line up announced, no PJ. Killers are the headliners.

Ottawa Bluesfest line up should be announced soon. These festivals usually mirror each other.

I'll give ya Toledo, Dayton (Yellow Springs is wonderful) and Cincinnati - the cities the run right of against Ohio's fantastic neighbor to the west.

The Killers are a good live band! Not to derail the thread. Then again, we haven't went off on a Killers tangent yet. And DMB dates are officially released.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the Gorge btw? We're going to be in WA in September and got tickets to see DMB for their Friday show there. The main purpose of the trip is to visit the National Parks of Washington, but we also wanted to see a show at the Gorge. Is it crazy to think we could see a show there and drive afterwards to lodge in Yakima or something? Or do we really need to stay somewhere closer?

I stay in Wenatchee and drive back and forth, about 50 minutes each way. As long as you’re not super tired for the drive home but I can never immediately sleep after shows so it works out great.

Thank you for the input. Wenatchee would also be good should we decide to visit North Cascades after the show. And Yakima if we opt for Mount Ranier. But yes, seems Iike driving away from the Gorge is reasonable.

I say it with actual certainty. There are some great places to visit in Ohio and if you live in Indiana, it's amazing.

I've never actually been to Cleveland yet, just around it, but the others are nice enough.

And the only Michigan show in that timeframe was 2014.  Although there were 2 Michigan shows in 2006.

Yes, please tell more. I just looked at NYA and see nothing regarding touring. Need more info regarding either PJ and/or NY Gorge shows.

Yes, meant talk of a pj gorge show on.this thread, rumours might be strong.

But, I would classify the NY dates as rumours.

There doesn't seem to be any substantial PJ Gorge rumors.

Where are your getting NY rumors from?  NY or NYCH?
