Honestly, I think Howard didnt do as good of a job as he did in past interviews.....seams like hes off his game, made some presumptions that arent there
    Agreed.
I actually think he was a bit nervous.

That was fun. Outside the box for them. Love to see it.

They seemed pretty excited to be there. Matt for sure and maybe Stone both mentioned being big fans of Howard.  They were laughing a ton.  They seem energized and I think are pretty proud of this album and the positive reviews it's getting.  Can't wait for this tour to start (even though I'm nearly 5 months away from my shows)

I don't hear politics really as a theme in Dark Matter (the album), but frustration in our inability to solve our problems as a species, essentially because of division. And also lots about relationships, which is a cousin to that issue.

People having casual knowledge of things like Pearl Jam, etc. is perfectly normal and abjectly frustrating to an OCDer like me.

Howard asking for Daughter and Glorified G.  Ed using his pass on Glorified G lol
I knew he would ask for GLorified G.  He often talks about how much he loves that song.
Ditto!  Surprised they didn't know that was coming too.

no boom. the guys all talked.
Have to wait for the video, but it sounded like there was an organ on Ledbetter, no? If they are gearing up for the tour, which they are, I would think Boom and Josh would both be there.
words seem so out of place.

I’m excited to hear the two new tracks!  Hopefully they’re posted somewhere soon.

I wish they’d have played something other than Daughter and Ledbetter. Two tracks we’ve all heard a billion times.

It seemed like they did. Ed mentioned them rehearsing recently and it seemed like he felt it didn't have enough energy.

"We haven't practiced any old stuff."

    Howard: 'Glorified G'

"We're going to veto that one. We played that the other day' (haha what's that even mean)

Scared of Fear was the highlight for me. Sounded amazing.

I think the EV interview from 2020 was better, but I still enjoyed this.  They sounded FANTASTIC on those four songs.  Ledbetter was the appropriate final song.

Solid. too bad glorified g was vetoed.

I wonder how varied the sets will be this tour and if they will go a little longer at the stadium shows.

Ahh they sounded so good. I can't wait for Vegas. I had to laugh when stone said he liked hanging out with Mike all the time when they were roomies and Mike says..I couldn't wait to get away from him

Well if Gange and Baba Booey are working on this we won’t see it for another week.

I couldn’t believe it had already been 2 hours by the time it was over.  I think Howard probably could have done 4 hours and still only scratch the surface.  He did sound a little rushed in parts but was able to get a little time with everyone and get some stories and anecdotes that I’ve never heard before.  Liked hearing Ed trying to work out Waiting For Stevie on acoustic.  They better figure that one out in the next few weeks.  Band sounded good, I’m sure some of those notes are hard to hit at 7am.  I think they did an audible into Running as Ed asked to just give them 2 minutes.  Also during YL did Ed change the lyrics to “boxer or the bag” in reference to his other interview with Howard?

Running sounded great.  Can’t believe a couple folks on here called it a throwaway song.

I definitely thought it was one. Until
i heard it on the album. The transition from that little segue after Stevie into this is one of my favorites moments on the album.

I think Howard only knows songs from Ten and Vs lol although he did mention Nothingman.

But, it was a great interview and the new tracks sound awesome live!

This is what you get when you wait 30+ years to go onto a show.  It was the first time.  Going to talk about and want some early songs.  The more you go, the deeper Stern goes.

I really enjoy Howard as an interviewer.  I will say that my favorites seem to be when I do not know much about the person vs knowing as much as I do about Pearl Jam.

Gary was on Faithfull Forum and said the Eddie interview was Howard's longest ever.
