I'm hoping there will be some kind of announcement that "Dark Matter in the Dark" means people had better put their frigging phones away.
Thankfully we're seeing it at an Alamo Drafthouse. They'll kick you out if they see you using your phone.

Seeing all the free swag ppl got today at the listening parties (tote bags, slip mats, posters, patches), I’m hoping they have some for us at the screenings. I mean, we actually paid to listen to this thing a few days early. 😜

But since you paid, it won't be free swag. And would you really want a tote bag if you had to pay for it?

I wonder what the "visuals" will be?  Everything I've seen promoted so far just show squiggly or circling lights...

Am going to the Birmingham, UK one today, do you think it will start dead on 7pm or have the usual cinema ads/trailers first?

Just got back from it. Yeah was pretty awesome. Great to have two listenings. You can see if your first impressions were accurate.

First five were bangers. Man Wreckage will go off live. Whole album sounded great. Ed is hitting high notes a helluva lot-did he quit the fags? I remember Corey Taylor did and it made a world of difference to his vocals on We Are Not Your Kind. Upper Hand had an epic lead in but didn't grab me-was expecting it to explode into something but was a bit MOTR. Something Special is a nice ditty but not sure if it would make a difference if left off. Nice last two songs as well. Jeff had a quick intro then into it. Bring an eye mask if you wanted total darkness-cinema darkness isn't quite the same. Enjoy peeps

HOLY FAR KING HELL. This album is PURE FIRE 🔥 🔥 🔥

There is not a weak track, even those a little sceptical of Something Special needn’t worry.

My personal favourite was Waiting for Steve. But boy there are so many amazing tracks. We’re going to be playing this one for a looong time.

As mentioned, the cinema screen illuminates slightly so as your eyes adjust it does brighten somewhat. Visualisers were a little different than I was expecting. They were great and it was nice to have the lyrics. Nice cameo from JA.

Torn between going (in 90 minutes) or experience the album by myself on my own stereo the first time... like I usually do with a new PJ album. I don't think I want to sit and listen to it in a big crowd. hehe.

We'll see. 90 minutes to go.

I had the same issue but now I'm really happy I watched it at the cinema.
    Great experience, just do it!
