So you weren't in the fan club?

I sell liquor and everyone complains when a bottle of booze goes up a nickle. It’s life. I’m not gonna say that life choices are a problem but $200 is still made one night serving tables. I skipped all shows because none are local and would have  cost me 3x the ticket price to go. If I was 25 no problem but I have a mortgage….and so do they and we underpaid them years in my opinion
The problem is not only the $200, it's dynamic pricing pushing prices way higher than this. The system severely limits access to "regularly priced" tickets. Further, many of the arenas that management has chosen for the tour are selling the best seats to their sports season ticket holders, who then resell them on stubhub

  • All this really just makes me miss the days of buying tickets in person at a kiosk. Feeling cool or like you had some insider knowledge because you knew about the tm kiosk at that store in the mall that no one else knew about it. Camping out and getting lit with other fans. Sometimes, you’d even get super crazy lucky and a member of the band would show up and do a meet and greet to those standing in line. Met JBJ that way in 1988. Long before any of this bot or dynamic pricing garbage

Really enjoying all these long winded post by people on the board with less than 5 posts. This board has now become one giant creative writing class.

Thank God none of you know how the ticket process works! It's why getting tickets on fan to fan has been so easy!

Sorry to ask but did you not try for tickets with your membership from 10C? The sale you tried was directly from TM not 10C

Do people go to concerts and understand the concept of platinum tickets? sigh.   90% were sold at face value under $200 and sold out.   If there weren't platinum tickets, they'd of sold out, and you'd probably of seen zero tickets available.

No personal attacks please. Those that don't post often are relevant.

I suppose I don’t understand. But I’d appreciate it if you came from a place of kindness, patience, and a willingness to explain
  • I agree. I actually like new opinions/perspectives.

Tickets are always available, even for MSG. You might have to wait until 48 or even 24 hours before the show, but there will be people stuck with tickets looking to sell. It may be a single and maybe not the best seats, but with a little perseverance you can get into to most shows at face value. The exception being those "special" shows like the Apollo, Irving Plaza or the Vic. Do not buy into Ticketmaster's new business model of trying to get the highest price for each individual seat. And Zod, I think TM holds back more than 10% of the tickets for dynamic or "platinum" pricing.

This. Unfortunately, people that aren't nuts like us don't realize that and it becomes the sticking point. I've never paid over standard face value and have never been shut out of a show I was determined to go to. Well, except for cancelled shows :)

The new model works against the fans, and I cannot blame the band at this point in their career for raising prices to capture revenue that might otherwise go to a reseller. That is what is happening and so few understand it. I only paid over face once. I forget what year, but it was MSG and I paid $400 for a good 100 level single. Last time PJ played MSG I had multiple offers from fans the day of the shows.

ISO one reserved seated ticket for Baltimore for a family member. Any help would be great.

    Thanks!

Still no luck. Hopefully more will drop, at a reasonable price.

Yeah it's absurd how few have dropped. I remember st paul last year I was able to start upgrading like 2+ months out. This feels like it's not gonna happen until really close to the date..
Appeared to be an animal, yet so polite.
