Tickets are always available, even for MSG. You might have to wait until 48 or even 24 hours before the show, but there will be people stuck with tickets looking to sell. It may be a single and maybe not the best seats, but with a little perseverance you can get into to most shows at face value. The exception being those "special" shows like the Apollo, Irving Plaza or the Vic. Do not buy into Ticketmaster's new business model of trying to get the highest price for each individual seat. And Zod, I think TM holds back more than 10% of the tickets for dynamic or "platinum" pricing.

This. Unfortunately, people that aren't nuts like us don't realize that and it becomes the sticking point. I've never paid over standard face value and have never been shut out of a show I was determined to go to. Well, except for cancelled shows

The new model works against the fans, and I cannot blame the band at this point in their career for raising prices to capture revenue that might otherwise go to a reseller. That is what is happening and so few understand it. I only paid over face once. I forget what year, but it was MSG and I paid $400 for a good 100 level single. Last time PJ played MSG I had multiple offers from fans the day of the shows.
Yeah it's absurd how few have dropped. I remember st paul last year I was able to start upgrading like 2+ months out. This feels like it's not gonna happen until really close to the date..
I’m doing the Pearl Jam show and already had Bruce tickets from last year. I wonder how many days in row you could keep going with consecutive shows for A list bands? What’s the next stop after weezer?!? 😄

It all kept falling into place after PJ was the first domino to fall. My 15 year old son loves the Blue Album so we had to do it. We live in South Alabama (LA) and don’t get to see good bands often. YOLO!

If I hadn’t just started a new job and didn’t want to ask for too much unpaid time off, I was totally going to go for four in a row with Jason Isbell at the Wolf Trap on the 11th. I’m coming up from Lynchburg so it’s a geographical dream 😀
That record store show was 91. Awesome that you were there.
As for these tickets, if you really wanna go and not pay those crazy prices. Scour the forums/Facebook groups and check TM relentlessly. There are always tickets for face. Actually face, that is. Like 200 not 900.
The demand for Baltimore is not greater than Wrigley, MSG, Philly or Boston. Don’t give up.
I am in the exact same boat, and it sucks. I'm sorry. I wanted to take my kids as well, so 10C tickets would not work. I check Ticketmaster daily, and the cheapest tickets are $400 each. I'm not blaming the band. It just sucks though.

Hope more tickets drop, and in price that you find a set to bring the kids.

Cheapest tickets on TM this morning for Philly 09/07 is 436.25. Does anyone have any idea when the prices may change? Tickets have gone up approx 400% since I saw them in Camden 2022. Got those tickets on TM for face value 175.00 after striking out on 10c.
I am BLOWN away that these prices persist and Ed claims in the recent Visions interview that it's because of production costs?

Theoretically only 10% of the tickets go for prices that high, the rest were sold at face value. To be honest I wish they did away with platinum and raise the rest of the tickets by $20 or whatever, so they wouldn't feel the need to go platinum.
Platinum tickets all depend on supply/demand. If TM can sell them at higher prices they will. It's only when they don't sell do the prices get lowered.
Usually the week of the show. It's a horrible system. TM also doesn't show their hand, so when you buy a platinum, you don't realize there were a bunch more they still had on reserve, then in the week or few days before the show they start trying to blow them out, and that's where the opportunity is.
Ticket buying is now all about waiting until just before a show happens, not buying them months or weeks early.
It's a game of chicken with ticketmaster.
Also sometimes the prices never really go down of the show is in a high demand market and people gobble up all the platinums. Kind of the opposite of Vancouver, where it blew up in TM's face, and they gave 10c members 2nd access, kept putting out amazing FV seats to the public etc because they weren't selling fast.
