Queuing up for Record Store Day will be quite entertaining with Swifties and Jammies this April. Happy to have the chance to pre-order the Ten Club vinyl at least.
I’m gambling the clear LP is the RSD and skipping the lines….

Was it last RSD she had a big release come out? The line up was odd. It was a mix of middle aged white people, and late teens/early 20s girls. lol. I remember one Girl wonder if the Taylor Swift record would be sold out, and pointing out that half the lineup probably didn't come for the record
Doesn't both Swift and PJ come out the day before RSD? It's just that PJ has a limited clear version for RSD/indie stores for 4/20? Wouldn't Swift's album come out the day before?

I recall the same at end of an ear here in Austin last year. Yes both vinyls will be out the 19th, but the following day will still be massive as RSD on 4/20. As y'all have pointed out, most likely the clear vinyl will be PJs offer.

I don’t know shit about fuck when it comes to this, but I’m thinking it doesn’t really matter since they aren’t aiming for the same audience.
There's some crossover
For sure, but those people would likely buy both regardless of release date. I guess the bold part is knowing the sales numbers will be dwarfed by comparison and they likely don’t care.
I get my Swiftie wife the new Taylor albums on release day. Love the tradition and love that she's so into an artist like I am. I'll be a little more excited going to pick up this next one for her though. Have pre-ordered the deluxe but given it'll be late as always I dunno how many times I'll get to pick up a new PJ album on release day.
Stars are suns to other people.

Yeah Im not entirely sure it will matter a deal either.
I would think their fanbases are very standalone, yes there will be a little cross over but I cant imagine it will be a great deal.
In terms of streaming 'sales' does it even matter considering what those things pay artists? I expect PJ will cash in on the tour dates, and physical product sales around the album

Pretty sure it doesn’t matter at all in this day and age but never would have happened 20 years ago with two major releases on the same day. That being said, PJ is going to sell 1/50 of what swift will.

Honestly, that seems generous to PJ.
you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane
I am confused by this mindset. I highly doubt the band plans releases to be the top seller that week. Maybe at a point in time they aimed for this, but I gotta assume at this stage in their career they aren't stressing about whether or not their record outsells another artist.

I’m sure it’s been April 19th for awhile. Taylor’s was a surprise announcement so probably not worth changing the date at this point
