I'm so confused by this. The Clio Awards are for advertising. The Clio Music Awards are new to me but, if they are related to the Clio Awards, why would they be giving Pearl Jam an Impact award? Has Pearl Jam ever licensed its music for advertising, other than its inclusion on  movie soundtracks?

The event is at 6:30 p.m. Didn't the invitation to the purported listening party say it was at 1:30 p.m.? So perhaps they're doing the listening party because they're going to be in town for the Clio event?
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

The Clio Entertainment Impact Award is bestowed on an individual or organization that is working to make an impact on the community by channeling their originality in new ways that simultaneously move their industry forward and bring about social change.

Hmm. Its a music related award, but will there be live music at the awards??

Love to see the guys get justly rewarded, but hearing a new song or two is more in tune with my interests. Still, its hard to pass up something close to home, especially not knowing the possibilities...

No it wasnt for the Red Cross. Lol.

They sold River Cross as the jingle for Verizon

It wasn't necessarily a jingle since they didn't continuously use it. It was about first responders and giving thanks to them

I don't think they're going to play their album at the Clio event. Both things are different assuming the private listening party is real

The instagram post was a fan page that used the Ten font to make something believable to look at.

Does it confirm a private listening party? No. Is it possible nonetheless? Yes.

Is it plausible that the 01/31 date in LA was misinterpreted as a listening party, but ended up being the Clio award? Yes.

Pearl Jam & Ozzy Osbourne to Receive Honorary Clio Music Awards  The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Jan. 31.

Pearl Jam will be honored with a Clio Impact Award in recognition “of their diverse creative pursuits, building an enduring and inspiring connection to their fans,” per a press release. The band will also be recognized for their philanthropic work, as well as their creativity in crafting a unique poster for each individual concert date.

    Impact Award Recipient: Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam is an alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band's lineup consists of bassist Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead singer/guitarist Eddie Vedder and drummer Matt Cameron. Thirty plus years of live performances, soon to be twelve studio albums and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, Pearl Jam continues to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful. The band has sold over 85 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

In addition to the band’s music, Pearl Jam is known for diverse creative pursuits that have built an enduring and inspiring connection to their fans. In 1996, Pearl Jam began its ongoing practice of creating a unique poster for each individual concert date. Starting with a small group of Seattle artists, over the years the program evolved into an international collective of diverse artists - some of whom have won Clio Awards for their work. Posters are hand silk screened and sold in limited quantities at each venue. They have become highly sought after pieces of art.

Since the earliest days, Pearl Jam has used its platform to elevate people and causes that often go unnoticed or underserved. Much of the band’s philanthropic work is accomplished through its Vitalogy Foundation which to date has raised more than $50 million for organizations supporting issues such as abortion access, climate change and homelessness, and drawing attention to the fight against diseases such as Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis and epidermolysis bullosa (EB). In addition to the money Vitalogy donates, the band also donates signed instruments, posters and merchandise to organizations to use for their own fundraising purposes. Compounding the impact of Vitalogy Foundation, the band has supported Jeff Ament’s Montana Pool Service building skate parks in Montana and South Dakota. Pearl Jam also lends its voice to notable causes like the West Memphis 3, voting rights and fair ticketing practices. Over the past three decades, the band has a long history of standing up for what it believes in and putting its resources behind those beliefs.

Through its innovative Ten Club and fan engagement, community building, coveted poster designs, and longstanding activism and philanthropy, Pearl Jam continues to have a lasting impact on generations of music lovers.
