Where are you seeing the band, where money for travel and tickets doesn’t matter?

Here’s mine, I have a lot:

- MSG always
- TD Garden
- Any New England show in New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine
- Gorge part 3
- San Sebastián or non-festival Lisbon
- Finland
- Alaska
- Greece
- Croatia
- St. John’s, Newfoundland
- Calgary to check Banff off the list
- Cleveland, Detroit, and Atlanta because whenever they eventually play those places again it’s gonna be wild
2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2

I'd be fine with trips there even when/if the shows cancelled for whatever reason.

Money isn't the block to going to visit....Pearl Jam is not likely to play any of those!

I think the only times I've spent abnormally to see PJ across 70 shows were:

    1) PJ20: I lost in the lottery and ended up buying face-value tickets on the lawn. In the week before the event, it occurred that it might rain and that I would be very unhappy in the elements. So I bought secondary-market tickets under the pavilion at a markup for both nights and, boy, was I glad I did when torrential rain inundated the first day of the event.

    2) Barclays Center in Brooklyn, 2013: My PJ show buddy from Boston and I (who live in Los Angeles but grew up in Brooklyn, with my family still there) had Ten Club tickets for the first night but were shut out for the second night. Having flown back east (and with him having driven down from Boston), there was no way I was going to miss out on the second show. The secondary market was steep. Fortunately, I was able to keep an eye on it from my parents' house 20 minutes from the arena. My friend's budget was less than mine for the show. In the end, probably less than two hours before showtime, I bought two tickets for $500, but I covered my friend for the part that was over his budget, so this ticket cost me $375.

    3) RRHOF: Just the fact that I paid for a cross-country flight and a RRHOF membership to see the band perform four songs and give a few speeches was overindulgent although, again, I could justify it because it was a visit home to Brooklyn and, again, there are no lodging costs. I'm a huge Wilco fan, too, and have been since the beginning (1995) when no one else cared, but I'm pretty sure Pearl Jam is the only band I would do this for.

I gather speed from you fucking with me.

Money always matters... but I'll find a way to get to Australia. In past it was Wrigley for me as a Cubs fan. Used to be Philly but more so when Spectrum was there.. same with old LA Sports Arena.
    Now..
I'll stick to shows that are convenient mostly..LA,SD,LV, Etc
  • Love the topic.

I feel like I have to do whatever it takes to see them in the Chicagoland area. Doesn't require breaking the bank but the motivation to go might seem otherwise.

At this point, it would be the Gorge, Red Rocks, and the Sphere if the opportunity shows up. Would love to see them in Argentina, Poland, and Japan in the future before all is said and done.

I was at the RRHOF show as well. It's a hometown show for me - so I didn't have to travel. Rick Wakeman gave the best speech of the night. He was hilarious.

  • Red Rocks would definitely be one. Last time I was there I got in line at noon and was in the front row. Somehow I suspect that wouldn’t be the case for PJ, haha

To me a no budget show is not so much about location or venue but it would have to have some deep meaning to it! For instance if they were to ever do a farewell show/shows that’s when I’d overlook budget and spend what ever it would take to get into such show
jesus greets me looks just like me ....

I've no idea what the Pearl Jam state playing lost would look like and need to complete.

Yes, he was fantastic. The version that aired on TV didn't do it justice.

I also really enjoyed Stone thanking every single member of the PJ crew by name from memory. That also didn't make it to HBO.

Loving the absence of Seattle. Please stay out this time around, hoping my seniority will actually produce favorable results this time.

I don't often travel to shows out of my area, so the bulk of the shows I've seen are in Pacific Northwest as they are driveable.   I've only traveled to odd show because a friend was living in city at the time, or another friend convinced me to go because of a trip they were doing.

I am travelling to see u2 this week, but definitely a budget :)

No budget gigs for me make me think about bands rather than venues. Guess thinking of venues is a luxury of a band being from or having the biggest market in your country. I'd see PJ anywhere but would take logistics more into account-though iconic venues like MSG, Royal Albert Hall etc would be a rad cherry on top. Actually would prefer to see bands in cities I haven't seen a gig or even been to in the first place. Travel is my biggest passion but if I can combine it with music and sport that makes such cool memories and is a great excuse to go back to a city you love. Do I love Soundgarden? Yes. Do I love Berlin? Yes. Seeing Soundgarden in Berlin? Oh hell yes.  I've got a handful of bands I'd travel and have travelled to see (grunge big four, Tool, Rage, STP, Pumpkins) but weigh them up against distances. Would travel to Aussie and maybe Japan from NZ, anywhere in Europe from my other home in Ireland, and if I can swing a detour while travelling like Boston 2018 anywhere else.

My dream place to see PJ is MSG without any doubt.

For this upcoming tour im thinking of doing London,Berlin and Barcelona although i´ve been to all the cities before.

If MSG wasnt such a hell to get tickets , i would gladly just do london and maybe add new york but its a nightmare to get tickets and i might be safe with berlin and barcelona instead
