Great new interview with Dave Abbruzzese (gives Glorifed G context)

Five days old. Didn't see a thread(?). Maybe I missed it. Dave Abbruzzese is a former drummer of the band.

"Immortality," the song off Vitalogy, is one that when I hear it, I'm really proud of what I pulled off because of all the subtleties in the track. To me, a good drum part is like a good movie soundtrack. I didn't want to do things that stood out and sounded flashy or unnecessary. In that song, there are so many intricate parts within each phrase and I'm really proud that they don't leap out – they sit right where they're supposed to, supporting the song.

Whether in the article or through his interactions with fans on the Facebook he’s quite introspective and seems to be the most at peace.

Dave’s interviews are probably the closest we’ll ever get to hearing anything remotely interesting about how the band operates. We aren’t entitled though.

Yep. After reading his FB posts, it’s no mystery while reading them as to why he got kicked out. He’s unable to see it though.

It’s pretty telling when he hasn’t heard from the other original band members since 1995. You don’t see any of the other guys in the group making jabs at him in articles or non authorized books. All your proof is right there. It’s pretty clear.

I was surprised how reasonable he came off in the interview. He called Eddie and Jeff passive-aggressive, and Kelly Curtis a drama queen. Meh, that’s his opinion based on his experience. Thinking about that time period for the band, there was a lot going on that probably didn’t bring out the best in them. Good news is they seemed to overcome it, and Dave sounded thankful for the experience and the fans.

Fun to read some history - had always thought it wasn’t as simple as Dave is some kind of gun toting hillbilly. You’ve got 5 humans involved, so it’s bound to be complicated.
