    The early artwork is amazing.  One could only hope they squeeze in a few artistic/visual style shows at the Sphere for this album.. at some point..

    OMG yes!  I was thinking that as I read through these posts the past week as people talked about midnight “drops.”  I can vividly recall going to the midnight sale for Vitalogy at the LRS while in college. That’s how our music “dropped” back in the day.  lol.

    The line was so long at the Strawberries in Shrewsbury, Mass. (the nearest place to my college in Worcester that was open for the midnight sale of Vs.) that they ran out and we had to wait for them to bring more copies from another location. There were hundreds of people in line. There was a running joke in line that no one else could possibly be there for any other album. There was a couple in front of us who went along with this joke. While we waited for them to bring over more inventory, someone from the store asked if anyone was waiting for anything other than Pearl Jam. The guy from the couple in front of us raised his hand. It turns out he was actually there to get the new Rush album that came out the same day (Counterparts) and had no interest in Vs.

    I got in line around 10:30 and I think I was 3rd or 4th.  By the time they played campus six months later, it was impossible to get a ticket.  Took me almost 7 more years before I finally saw them.
