My favorite Ohana is still the encore they did a few year ago. Beck was my favorite show outside of Ed and PJ I've seen there. Just something about that year. Maybe coming out of the craziness of most the Covid shit and getting back out to see live music is tainting my view, but everything was perfect that weekend.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Selfishly hoping the lineup isn't my jam this year because it will be the first time we can't go in 5 years. Family wedding set to be that last weekend in September so unless they change up the timing of the festival, we won't be there. Bummed to miss out on some sweet SoCal weather and beach vibes while taking in some live music.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    Hmm…that’s unfortunate.

    FRI: Waxahatchee -> Social Distortion
    SAT: EV
    SUN: PJ

Add: Wednesday/MJ Lenderman, Protomartyr, Guided by Voices, Built to Spill, Lee Fields, HEALTH, Squeeze, Paul Weller, King Khan and BBQ Show, War on Drugs, Robyn Hitchcock, Mdou Moctar, The Moles, Austin TV, Oura, The Bats, Olivia Rodrigo, X, Matt Cameron with The Melvins.
    This is great.

I think, in addition to the Melvins lineup, it would be fun to have a couple of the other side projects like Painted Shield, Rockfords scattered through Friday, Saturday.

Alvvays is a great live band and a frequent festival name. I’d like to see them as a late night addition.

I agree. The ocean setting and the two stages in close proximity already has innings beat even without the lineup

Innings was a cluster F... way too many people on Saturday...choke points as you tried to get around their stupid bleachers. Never have these problems at Ohana

I wasn’t comparing the festivals to each other.  I was pointing out that Ed and Green Day have appeared at the same festival as each other in the past, in response to someone implying a chance of Green Day at Ohana based on the San Diego date.  If GTB felt it was necessary to slam Innings on this basis, well, it’s an open forum.  I have had the fortunate opportunity to attend both festivals and enjoy them both and don’t feel it is required to take a shot at one of them.  But that’s just me.  Peace out.

I’ve been to both Innings and Ohana multiple times. Never premium tickets. I lean towards Ohana. There are pros and cons to the split stages at Innings. Innings does have a few choke points for fans as they move around. Ohana more open space. Beach is nice. Area around Tempe easier logistically.  I didn’t love the Innings lineups this year. Hoping I like Ohana more and I will make the trip.

Ohana by far. Innings’ 2nd stage is a hike so you’re going to miss something going back and forth. Ohana’s had the better lineups and food and Doheny>Beach Park. More a statement on how well run Ohana is than a knock on Innings.

I did get a photo with Rollie Fingers at Innings though.

At Ohana you don't miss any music... at Innings you can't get from one end to other without a huge effort. That to me is it... yes, difficult to get place to stay near Doheny . Crowd at Ohana is so chill... but was cool at Innings to hear Ed chat with friends

Paul Weller is amazing and such a great live act, but I haven't seen any indication of plans to tour in the US from him; have you?

Whatever the lineup will be, it will be awesome. Unfortunately we will be missing this years festival but if it’s anything close to the incredible 2021 (+ Encore weekend) lineup and 2023, it will be memorable.

Noah Kahan or Zach Bryan Is highly likely.. Both will have wrapped up large tours and have space in their schedules.. Plus they sell better than almost any band today. We know selling out the festival is a top priority..

    Maybe Post or Jelly Roll

And Ohana has ample porta-potty supply so the “where to put the urine cup” conversation from the tour thread shouldn’t be an issue.

And go during one of those Messthetics/Poolside/Khruangbin acts that you don’t need much a visual for.

Which weekend are we expecting the festival? It was normally the crossover weekend of September and October, but this year the weekends are either completely in September OR October.
