First time songs (personally)

17 first time songs for me over both nights.
Funny enough, going into the show I thought my list of wanted songs was going to be a slam dunk over a two night run: Once, Deep, Dissident, with a variable of Whipping, with the hardest one that I knew was going to be most out of reach being Blood.
All 5 i haven't seen, and all 5 I didn't get.
I cannot complain though! Both shows were amazing and honestly probably the best shows I've seen up until this point. The setlists and vibes were out of this world and perfectly curated.
Although, how I've gone 6 shows without getting a chance to hear Once yet befuddles me.Deep at this point is my white whale. I have gone to 18 shows and only have Dissident twice and not since 2003 (adds that to a need to hear again soon list!). I only have Once four times. They did play it three times during this short run, so odds were kind of in your favor.

I hit 14/15 in Austin. I went from 132 to 142, so ten new ones. The standouts being In My Tree and Who You Are.
Got my first pick too, thanks Mike.Soldier Field 7-11-95, Alpine Valley 6-26-98, United Center 6-29-98, Riverport Amphitheater (St. Louis)7-2-98, MGM Grand Arena 10-22-00, Sprint Center (Kansas City)5-3-10, Adams Event Center (Missoula)9-30-12, Wrigley Field 7-19-13, Jobing.com Arena (Phoenix)11-19-13, Moda Center (Portland)11-29-13, Spokane Arena 11-30-13, Pepsi Center (Denver)10-22-14, Gila River Arena (Phoenix)5-9-22, Moody Center (Austin)9-18-23, Moody Center 9-19-23, Rogers Arena (Vancouver)5-4-24, Rogers Arena 5-6-24, MGM Grand 5-16-24, MGM Grand 5-18-24, Wrigley Field 8-29-24, Wrigley Field 8-31-24, Nashville 5-6-25, Nashville 5-8-250 -
St. Paul 1 & 2 were my 28th and 29th shows (the second being one of my favorite shows ever). My new songs were all Gigaton/covers: "Superblood Wolfmoon", "Dance of the Clairvoyants", "Seven O'Clock", "Take the Long Way" (which was the only song I was hoping for), "Buckle Up", "Wildflowers", and "Purple Rain". Sounds crazy I'm sure but I think that might've been the first time I listened to "Purple Rain" in its entirety. Highlights for me were seeing "Indifference" to kick the tour off (fourth time ever they opened with it, I think?), "Nothing as it Seems" for the first time since 2000 (my first tour), and Virginia's own "I Am Mine" is always spectacular.0

Shows 5 and 6 for me in St. Paul this tour. I got to hear 11 new songs I hadn't heard before. Highlights were Once, In Hiding, Insignificance, Sometimes and Got Some. It's a hopeless situation...0
-
Shows 24-26 in St Paul and Chicago. I think I got 9 new songs. Majority were from Gigaton. Nothing as it Seems was a nice surprise at STP2. So was Purple Rain that same night. I had almost forgotten about the PJ StatTracker app. Great app!0

ms. goldenwords said:Austin 2 was my 28th show and I’ve been waiting 25+ years to hear Glorified G and finally did. That alone made the travel worth it! I also heard Habit for the first time, which was icing. The other Austin 1&2 songs were all songs I had heard before, but I got lots of songs for the second time, which is still a treat. Im hoping for around the bend and of the girl for the next tour, bc I’ve also been chasing those for a looong time.
What's crazy is I have seen 26 shows (similar to you) and seen both Glorified G and Habit four times each. That is why this band is amazing!Post edited by ncbuckeye33 on0 -

I would have thought that after 29 shows I'd have heard HH a few more timesAny new realizations... would have to wait...
Til he had more time,... more time...
Time to dream,... to himself... he waves goodbye,
To himself... I'll see you on the other side...0 -
