My ideal Pearl Jam set list is heavy on songs from whatever their most recent album is but, when it comes to covers, I pretty much only want to hear them play a cover if it's a song they were covering before 1996.

I prefer PJ originals over covers all day every day. I wish they would have subbed in 3 of their songs for those covers. So many great ones left off. I get ending with Rockin' and sending the message with Imagine, but they wrote some great songs with fantastic lyrics they could play too.

Agreed, but I make exceptions for "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Sonic Reducer" because they feel like originals.

On a different subject, I just realized that the lead singer of Inhaler is Bono's son.

I am also old. But there has never been a Pearl Jam album that I do not enjoy a lot. I've seen them 70 times over the past 30 years. I've seen the old songs. Even a set with 12 new songs is still going to have 12 old songs, so I'm not expecting not to hear any old songs. Generally, by the time they go on tour, I have spent a lot of time with a new album and am excited to hear those songs live.
