  • Great show. I was in the back of the pit on Stone's side and the vibe was great. I was pleasantly surprised by how small the pit was, but it made standing in the back a little more crowded than expected. It wasn't packed, though. Loved the set-list. Nothingman was a great opener and Thumbing into Footsteps into Present Tense..... just lovely.  Entire band sounded great, but the energy was lower than normal - probably the sickness aging, whatever - they are always amazing. Out of My Mind into In My Tree... what?!  and then Given to Fly into I got shit was icing. Eddie's words about reproductive rights were so eloquent and respectful and it seemed to resonate with the crowd. I love that he will say what needs to be said. Seemed short, so I'm surprised they cut Amongst the Waves, but I think they might be tired. Loved the moment that they messed up. Great venue - truly doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house and the folks who worked there made it all smooth. Merch stands were a bit inconsistent, but who needs my nitpicking :)

Ready for tonight and hoping for at least one that I haven't heard (oh let it be Glorified G!).

Thanks to this lovely group of fans who make each show so much fun!

  • It had been 8 years and 11 months since I last saw this band at ACL in 2014. Longest gap between shows I've experienced. It was so refreshing last night. The energy was off the charts. To me, one of the loudest crowds I've been in, despite some of the empty seats people saw. Took me 22 shows to finally hear Smile, couldn't have been better, and on the same night they play Out of my Mind for only the fifth time. Then In My Tree, Animal, Given To Fly, I got Shit and Porch to close out the main set. Whew. That encore was a blitz. Wish I could do Night 2. Hopefully, they are back in Texas sooner than later this time. Nobody is getting younger.

Amazing show. I was really impressed with the sound clarity in my section (111). One observation was that it seemed a large percentage of the crowd brought higher energy during rarer tracks than the obvious big hits (Even Flow, Alive) which tells me this was a crowd of die hards vs folks who once owned Ten. That was really cool. But my only complaint was the ass blown a few rows behind me who screamed out “shut up and sing” during EVs speech about women’s rights. Like seriously? A Texas Even Bro strikes again. I just hope that you aren’t a 10c member since we were so close to one another. Other than that, amazing show. Ready to wrap up this tour tonight and my 4 show run through Texas. LFG!!

Didn’t attend the show (Fort Worth N2!), but I met a dad and his 6th grade daughter from Colorado at the Longhorn game Saturday. He was taking her to her first concert on Monday in Austin! They were both super excited for the show. My wife and I enjoyed talking to them! Fun that we happen to sit next to each other in a sold out game!

Sounds like they probably had a blast!

Show #24 for me and man was it great. I'll start off with the venue - the Moody Center was fantastic. didnt look like there was a bad seat, plenty of merch/food/drink stands and pretty spacious concourses especially for a college arena. pretty cool that its in the middle of the campus too with a nice view of the football stadium especially with that outdoor balcony.

The Evenflow - Porch run and Whipping to the end of the show were 2 of the best stretches ive seen at any show. The crowd definitely seemed to be leaning towards more of the hardcore fans than casuals, which is great. Seemed like every person in attendance was singing along to Nothingman/Small Town to start the show. Luckily I've seen Save You a few times so Ed fumbling the lyrics and almost looking to Jeff a few times for help was funny.

It's a shame a lot of fans leave for the bathroom during the Gigaton songs especially since I think Who Ever Said and Quick Escape translate live very well. This is also not a criticism but I do feel like the sweet spot of the band is in that 26-28 song range. No need to eclipse 30 but 23 was a tad abrupt/short, although it seems like this will be the plan moving forward to keep Matt fresh which is completely fine.

Thought it was a great mix of the hits, the beloved classics & some insane deep cuts. The band and Ed sounded great too, incredible to be this great in the year 2023. Looking forward to night 2 for an even better experience!

This was our first time seeing the band since the Seattle home shows. It's comforting that as we change and as much as the world changes around us, the shows are so reliably great and the people we meet are always wonderful. Thanks to the cool kiddos who shared some bracelets that they made with a bunch of us in their vicinity, and it was a pleasure to meet and hang with our neighbors for the night in GA. And thanks to the band for supporting women and reproductive rights and using their time, energy, money and, maybe most importantly, their voice in supporting things that matter for 30 years and counting.

Another amazing show. I had rail between Jeff and Mike. I made a sign for Mike and he acknowledged it. Ed tossed me a tambourine during Baba. So special. Here are a few photos from the night.

Eddie spoke about a gentleman that helped out with Ten in London, but they acknowledged the wrong area in the crowd. This is the guy, but everyone is looking to where Ed was pointing.  he was in the pit in front of Mike, but we couldn’t get Ed’s attention. He later got a hug from Mike on his way off stage.

He was up on the side when they put the spotlight on him. He was standing right next to me. He must have later gone down to the pit. Either that or we have an imposter. LOL.
