Chicago D1 - Cubs vs Giants ⚾️ - ROLL CALL

Cubs day game - who is in?

I got a big day planned.... bike ride up the Lake path... skating at the Burnham 31st St Skate Park... swim Ohio Street / North Ave beach corridor... Recreation Drive tunnel… Cubs Bike valet under the L.

All before noon 😂

Where are we drinking at Wrigleyville?
Lets do this!!!!

  • This was one of the best games I ever saw at Wrigley.... Not necessarily a good sample space - I am from Boston (and only came out of the closet when Lester arrived) - but this game was awesome.

  • Anyone have details on what time and where to pick up jerseys?

  • Medium XL and XXL only... Lots of people are going to end up with mediums that don't fit

We got there at 1030 thinking they would wait for two hours before the game but they opened and started handing them out

River cross next… Is Mike doing the star spangled banner?  😎
  • I was surprised how short the line was. We got here about 11:45 and they still had a bunch of shirts.

Complete bullshit. 10C day and they are in town. I mean, many thousands are here for it. I'm sure it'll be for Friday's game, but this is crappy.

  • How about Saturday since I’ll be in town lol.  But I agree, I even put the game on today to see something PJ related on tv and nothing, not even a shot of a fan wearing the giveaway jersey or any PJ song being played.

  • 😂 enthusiasm curbed on that 7th inning stretch.

fun all the same - haven’t been to a day game in a while.

The ‘giveaway’ Vedder shirts were out in force - nice to see given the vitalogy foundation

    but yes, slightly disappointing

There were a lot of PJ shirts when they showed the crowd singing "Go Cubs Go" after they won.

Jeff Garlin needs the publicity more than Eddie.  I think he’s trying to do a comedy tour and possibly a tour of his photography.  Jeff has been a frequent guest and singer of the 7th inning stretch.  Eddie used to do the Strech once a year but I don't think he's done it since the World Series.

Cool! Nice day to enjoy a ball game… I’m sure Garlin would have agreed to a duet if asked 😊 otherwise a beautiful day at the ballpark, free of ‘responsibilities’ sounds fab…

Happy to hear… And happy to know he was saving his voice for later tonight, and the GREATEST. CONCERT. EVER.

Funny.  But am I really being dramatic.  It’s Pearl Jam night and not much done other than play music in between innings.

I honestly didn't know anything about pj day... I just knew I got a jersey with a ticket. The music and trivia was cool.

  • These are essentially corporate bulk-purchase packages which Ten Club has organized. In terms of logistics, it's more similar to a team-building event at your workplace than a "Pearl Jam night". It's not like the Cubs and PJ organized something together. You get a ticket and a jersey, and hang out with other fans - that's it (still a good day out IMO).
