My wife and I ordered a couple of pairs of the Eargasm ear plugs from Amazon for the arena shows last year and they worked well. The music still sounded good and there was no ringing in my ears afterwards.
I have found that Etymotic (which I have used for years) and Eargasm (which I've tried and thought worked well for the music, but were harder to hear people just speaking) are both too big for kids (neither fit my kids).
Earasers (Earasers Earplugs for Musicians and Concertgoers) have some smaller size which worked well for my middle school/high school kids. Not cheap though (though cheaper than hearing problems).
Going to try the Loop ones- thanks for the recommendation. I have a hard time fitting my ears but these were free to try for first 100 days so I'm giving them a shot.
