this band doesn't play any unreleased tracks anymore. the last one was Of The Earth, and that was never released. I don't think we get any unreleased tracks from the next record in the fall.

they did for BS and LB...don't you think the lack of Gigaton tunes was due to not having any live dates prior to release?

I recall them playing Future Days at Wrigley. What did they play off BS prior to release and when?

no, I don't. they don't like their tunes getting out there prior to release.

now, it's different if you mean the tour started one week, and the album was coming out 3 weeks after that. that happened to me with Vs. They played half the album at that show in August 1993. But they haven't done that since the era of boots, have they?

Unthought Known had been played at Ed solo shows before the BS release. Want to say Albany earlier in 2009. Don't know about anything played by the full band, though.

The End and Supersonic were both played in London at different venues in 09 prior to Backspacer’s release. Most of Avocado was played at the Astoria in 06 before the album hit too. In those cases, as with LB, we knew the forthcoming release dates for the lp.

If the album is announced they might play something off it on the tour, but if it isn’t I’m not sure they will be road testing the material. I would be very happy to be proven wrong though 😂

this is what I was also going to say. I only see that happening if the album release date is known. Many of the examples above were the album's first singles.
