So... here's the thing. As someone who has worked in tech for a few decades, I know there are plenty of people in a place like Austin who will gladly hand over $1000/ticket for some great seats to a show. It is like sitting courtside or in the first 10 rows of the NBA playoffs. There are people who have money, want to impress a date/client, etc. If the band wants to take 500 of these tickets per show and charge $1000, they are looking at an extra $0.5M in gross per night. Many of us can reasonably understand why they would do that if that's what it takes to make the tour a success, yada, yada, yada.

I am just not seeing how putting upper bowl tickets for sale at $400 makes any sense at all both from an economics standpoint and a public relations standpoint. There is nothing premium about the tickets.

My guess is that TM and promoters sell bands on Premium by saying "We can guarantee you an additional $x amount each show." Then they price some tickets that are truly the best seats, and use scare tactics and false demand to sell the others - like the $400 upper bowl seats you reference. Bands don't care because they get their money and TM must have data that supports doing it this way.

I do agree, from a PR standpoint it is a bad look.

Completely agree with this take. This and manipulating the market and F2F makes it all even worse. I'm in the same boat as the poster above. I'm trying to upgrade my Austin tix and will list my current uppers for over $200 per seat less than some "premium" seats that are currently listed right now a few rows behind me. Its ridiculous.

Maybe PJ took the high road and made the actual good seats 10C and threw all those Premiums they agreed to at the back. Either way, that price will have to drop once F2F opens

the system should drop them in price since there is no demand for them at that price.

I wonder if TM has set aside 10% of the pavilion seats for premium or is it 10% of the total venue for Noblesville. Huge difference if it’s the total venue and they are not selling lawn at the premium markups.

Daily reminder, that these could've gone to 10 clubbers, and that if anyone is foolish to buy them at either price, you can only resell them for that same marked-up price.

Btw, anyone defending Premium: please tell me the difference between seat 11 & seat 12.

Regardless, keep an eye on this section as show time approaches.

Based on the 10C presale announcement, with 10C stating they reserved the majority of GA lawn, I’m thinking it’s 10% of the covered seats.
To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

Especially at Deer Creek. And then they expect you to tip 15-25%. For what? Handing me two cans of beer and opening them (which I begged you not to do to begin with)?

I hate tipping customs nowadays. The self-serve kiosk with a pickup line, then prompts you for an 18% tip?
