Worse case is we have tickets for both shows in MN and IL. None are horrible, but all could be improved upon. The Ticketmaster account is from AOL days so isn't new.
I assume I'm not the only one who got this (trying to get a ticket for Noblesville and I am signed into my TM account)
Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the request on this device.
Please make sure you are signed into your Ticketmaster account and try again or come back later.
I got it and had to switch to mobile data. I read they block IPs
I thought I was getting this because I was signed on to my Laptop & Phone at the same time. I Logged Out on BOTH and then I ONLY logged back onto my Laptop and I still got that same pop-up message.
I got Strokes tickets at Red Rocks today. $135 face value. AXS is the ticket vendor, same tactics as Ticketmaster just different interface. I saw Incubus play there last October, “premiums” were $500…to see incubus…to see the strokes premiums were $369.

Been refreshing Austin N1 off and on all day long. Irritated that F2F isn't up, but happy to report no one has purchased the 6 overpriced upper level "premium" tix all day.

For shits & giggles, I tried to see of I got the same for another concert and I didn't. I could've bought a ticket for Aerosmith but I CAN'T for Pearl Jam.
I’m shocked at the Noblesville ticket prices that just posted…..
This takes me back to the "best seats in the house" conversation. That PJ Premium row in Sec H, Row BB you're referring to (granted, it is six rows behind me), has a MUCH better sight line to the stage than my seats that are almost all the way to the right. Closer doesn't always mean better.

Best and better seats will always be subjective. I like aisle seats and sightlines. I'd rather be on an aisle with a view five sections from the stage than in the middle of a closer row with a sharp angle view of the stage.

That makes the platinum tickets that went for about $328 a piece (in Section D, Row BB) earlier in the morning seem like a complete "STEAL!!" LOL. Here's to TM Dynamic Pricing!!!

They have $400 tickets up for the worst seats in the arena for Austin. I would like to post the second worst seats in the arena for $162, if they will let me.
I’m shocked at the Noblesville ticket prices that just posted…..
those last rows on the other side were $3xx, then $4xx now $6xx... WTF.. Greedy MFers
Someone bought those 600 seats in Indy...
Hopefully not. They were pulling seats & relisting them up til show time last year.
If someone bought them & they can't go, hoo boy...

So... here's the thing. As someone who has worked in tech for a few decades, I know there are plenty of people in a place like Austin who will gladly hand over $1000/ticket for some great seats to a show. It is like sitting courtside or in the first 10 rows of the NBA playoffs. There are people who have money, want to impress a date/client, etc. If the band wants to take 500 of these tickets per show and charge $1000, they are looking at an extra $0.5M in gross per night. Many of us can reasonably understand why they would do that if that's what it takes to make the tour a success, yada, yada, yada.
I am just not seeing how putting upper bowl tickets for sale at $400 makes any sense at all both from an economics standpoint and a public relations standpoint. There is nothing premium about the tickets.

My guess is that TM and promoters sell bands on Premium by saying "We can guarantee you an additional $x amount each show." Then they price some tickets that are truly the best seats, and use scare tactics and false demand to sell the others - like the $400 upper bowl seats you reference. Bands don't care because they get their money and TM must have data that supports doing it this way.
I do agree, from a PR standpoint it is a bad look.

Completely agree with this take. This and manipulating the market and F2F makes it all even worse. I'm in the same boat as the poster above. I'm trying to upgrade my Austin tix and will list my current uppers for over $200 per seat less than some "premium" seats that are currently listed right now a few rows behind me. Its ridiculous.

Maybe PJ took the high road and made the actual good seats 10C and threw all those Premiums they agreed to at the back. Either way, that price will have to drop once F2F opens
