Just checked my Barclays card app and it shows my transaction for two delicious subs from Jersey Mike’s yesterday for my son and I!
What type of sub did you get?
#13 original Italian. Always a solid choice!
We don’t have Jersey Mike’s in Canada .   Is it similar to Firehouse ?  If so , original Italian was a great choice.
Loved firehouse… then I had a sub and crapped water for two days straight and never again.
Firehouse is a glorified Quiznos.  Way overpriced.
Agreed... I always considered jersey Mike's far superior

Growing up in the Bay Area, Togo's subs were always great. especially if you had a friend that worked there and they would load up your sandwich! I miss going to Togo's.

We got subway after night one in 2018. It was probably because I was smashed but damn that was the best sub ever.

Still waiting. For those coming into Chicago… you have to try JP Graziano’s for an amazing sub and / or Italian Beef. Close to the UC in an great neighborhood to pre party. https://jpgraziano.com/
Great sub, I’d also recommend Bari on Grand Ave.  I like it better than Grazianos.  Can’t go wrong either way.

Chicago sandwiches remind me of that show The Bear!  Italian beef! If I remember, the ending of episode 1 has a hard to cut to the credits soundtracked with Animal. That show makes me hungry!

  • I remember back in ‘93 we  picked up Blimpie Best subs at 10pm just before getting on line outside the record store to purchase Vs. at midnight.

Best sandwich I ever had prior to purchasing a legendary record.

Johnnies & Pops are the two best beefs in the Chicago area-burbs.

We have done 3 beef tours and had them all - 16 people scoring.

There are sandwiches and then there’s Coffee Pot sandwiches out on Broadway in Bangor, Maine.

Everything else is a very distant second at best.

    Can I get an Amen?
