Sorry to say this in reply specifically to your comment as this is common sentiment here. Calling maga a cult is misleading, as trump is likely to receive upwards of 75 million votes. Cult implies a small religious group, maga is far from that.

Give me a break. Not everyone who voted for Trump is in the cult but there is some significant cult- like behavior from a few. It's a cult of personality.
I think you should read up on cult leaders and their methodology of convincing adherents to follow them, act on their behalf, and yes, lay down their lives for them. It’s way more than “a few.” And I’d argue that if you’re, general you’re, planning on or intending to vote POOTWH, knowing or what you, general you, should know about his beliefs, behaviour and past actions, you’re, general you’re, in a cult. No, being a shitty person is not being in a cult but if you’re, general you’re, going to vote for POOTWH, then I’d argue that you’re, general you’re, in a cult. Close to a thousand people followed Jim Jones to Jonestown and took their own lives, knowing full well who Jim was in reality. Many POOTWH supporters also suspend reality in their reasoning for supporting, voting and justifying him. It’s a cult.

Were the GOP members a bastion of morality before Trump arrived? No, they were generally ‘always vote red’ folks who’d been drinking FOX News flavoured Kool-Aid for years. Trump saw an exploitable and regularly exploited group and continued to exploit them. Not that this conversation matters at all but there were cult-like behaviours before as well as since Trump within the GOP. Same with shitty humans. The only difference is that Trump has effectively become a singular cult leader to rally the folks in a singular direction regardless of who’s in charge of the GOP. I would find it exceptionally hard to believe that the only ones voting for Trump are there for him, as convenient as that would be. It ignores what we know about those who always vote red or never vote blue.

This is a lose-lose election because if Brandon wins, those 35%-40% rampage and if POOTWH is elected, which I think he will be, then chaos ensues and all those things he says, that people think are a joke now and he really doesn't mean, like being a dictator and rounding up people into camps for expulsion, going after the press and enemies with DOJ, come to fruition. The Steve O's and Herr Millers are doing the work as we speak. People need to wake the fuck up but I think its too late. Good luck.
