Eddie to Play Telluride 2023?

Just listening to KOTO 91.7  Telluride and the DJ just shared a rumor that Mr Eddie Vedder will be playing at the Bluegrass Festival there next year.

Did not verify this, nor did the DJ, as he repeatedly mentioned this as the good rumor, as opposed to the bad rumor that Lift 9 may not be up and running by opening date.

It is the 50th Anniversary, so maybe its true!

Not like I could afford the lodging in Telluride any time soon.

    Please let this be true!

Do tickets for this usually sell out right away? Looks like they go on sale 12/1. And any firm date when the lineup is announced?

What about lift 9?  Heard they got the wrong size wheel =)

Also, is camping permitted in your back yard?  Town park sells out so fast!

He mentioned Telluride at the Denver show!  So he must be playing (even though it's a Bluegrass Festival)!  Should at least put a question mark at the end of the thread title.
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

The tickets do usually sell out very fast. You can always find tickets however. Town park camping that’s a different story.

Yes they got the wrong size bullwheel, if lift 9 doesn’t open on time (snow depending) there will be an uprising from locals, myself included, when a season pass to Telluride costs $1750.

I have a guest room and a front yard and will be hosting if this rumor comes to fruition. Not a big bluegrass fan and still a little confused about Eddie headlining but if it’s true I’ll be there! Just like I was in July of 2016 for the ride fest for PJ.

June 15-18th... it works with the PJ rumors and this certainly seems like the kind of event that EV would make a solo appearance for

Tickets go on sale in 5 days so rumor timing is on track too.

    https://bluegrass.com/telluride/festival-info/ticket-info

Ticket Purchasing 101 drop-down has great info:

Beginning as early as 9am MT tomorrow, you will want to click on either one of the events which will automatically enter you into the Queue-it virtual waiting room. Both events will have the same queue, and you will be able to easily navigate between the two events once you have entered one of them by scrolling down past all the ticket types in the current event.

Please note that these numbers are randomized, so you have the potential to secure spot #1 up until 9:59am MT. This randomization acts as a real-time lottery, however you will not be able to see your number in line until tickets go on sale.

Once sales start at 10am, the Queue-it system will start letting those randomly chosen for the front of the queue into the event (that they originally clicked on) to purchase tickets. Again, you will be able to easily navigate between the two events once you have entered one of them.

Keep in mind that having a ticket in your cart does not guarantee that you can check out with it. That only occurs once you get to the checkout page and the timer starts.

Quite a few people decided to pull the trigger on tickets. 4 day passes and Friday and Saturday passes are sold out. It must be a pretty cool event for people to make that commitment without knowing who will be there.

I am unashamedly jealous of you @Sugarloafer04 - And congrats on making all the correct life choices! my favorite area to have visited thus far.

I cannot believe I overlooked this thread. We found Telluride in Sept/Oct of 2021 and have been planning (100% coincidentally) the week of June 11, 2023. We are planning on some time in all of Durango, Silverton, Ouray and Telluride. So much love is owed to the San Juan Mountains. While we highly recommend Brown Dog Pizza and Tacos Del Gnar (Ridgway), do you have any other food recommendations for the area?

While tickets may be "sold out" you will be able to get them once the event gets closer. I didn't even buy them yet. They are always around. They sell out every year before the lineup has even been announced, this is par for the course.

As for some local spots in Telluride: The Oak fat alley down by the gondola and lift 8 has great southern food, The Stronghouse is a new brewery in town with great food as well. Kazahana is a new fancy sushi spot that tbh I haven't been to yet but it looks great! The Sheridan if you are looking for a nice meal. If you want a locals hangout head up to the Cornerhouse for some pub grub. And of course don't forget to visit Telluride Brewing Company either at the brewery in Lawson Hill or up at the taproom in the mountain village, the one in mtn. village has some solid food too! Burgers, wings, and tacos are all delicious. If you are looking for Italian in Telluride, Rustico is really good. Smugglers Brewpub has great food and beer as well. There is a new taco spot where Taco Del Gnar had their Telluride location on S. Oak street but they are only in Ridgway now (they are delicious) the one in Telluride is called Uno Dos Tres Taco's I think. Haven't been yet but will give it a go soon enough!

@Sugarloafer04 - Thank you for all of the recommendations!

Secured tickets through their scalper cleansing resale process. Really appreciate the work they put in to keep face value tickets in the hands of the fans. While some acts have been announced, still waiting on the bigger names. Still holding out hope for Eddie, PJ and/or Neil! Lodging in the area is very limited and OUTRAGEOUSLY priced for this event. It seems Telluride is completely booked and lodging is limited to Mountain Village, which is okay. I just suspect the gondola will be extremely busy unlike it was during our trip in late September.
