Deleting their Twitter would be silly. It wouldn’t make the statement that many here probably think it would (I’m sorry but the band’s reach isn’t what it once was) and the format of Twitter hasn’t changed at changed all since it was recently purchased. Those leaving the platform in light of recent events are overreacting and I suspect many of them will be back simply because they crave the attention.

That said, I’m someone who personally thinks most social media is a waste of time so my life wouldn’t change much at all.

Democrats have hurt feelings, don’t realize “their” party causes just as many problems with this country as anything Trump has done because they don’t research anything.

This seems on point. I was just thinking that the biggest challenge the country faces is a lack of "research" by Democrats. It's really the origin of all of our problems.

See my earlier post in this thread on how your Congressmen and Senators party together nightly at fancy restaurants all across DC. They’re laughing at us when they dine together, things news cameras won’t show. Whenever Dems have any control why isn’t anything ever done? Good at blaming the other side though, never have the balls to actually make a stand, wonder why? It’s all show, WWE and Porn have better storylines

At least so far Twitter functions the same as it always has. If that ceases, move on to the next thing. No need to kowtow to psychos with politics-addled brains. Their hummingbird attention spans will be on to the next thing in 2 weeks. See: Spotify.

Prove me wrong. In your life, how bad was it from 1995-2007? Who controlled the Senate and House in those 12 years? (Hint It was the same party) How many PJ shows did you attend with all your wealth?

How bad was your life from 2007-2011? Who was in full control?

How bad is your life in general? Are you better now than you were 15 years ago? If not did you maybe make a few poor decisions?

I have zero issues with representatives of different parties dining together.  They have ideological differences,  they aren't mortal enemies.  I fully expect that Schumer and McConnell could break bread together like civilized humans.  They are both Americans. The fact that you think that Josh Hawley going on Fox and being an asshole means that Susan Collins and Tim Kaine shouldn't dine together says more about you and that you expect it should be scorched Earth all the time.  I don't want that.

Your last statement is true, I agree with it.  Politics does not move the economic needle for most people other than the very rich and very poor.
The rest of your argument is a non-sequitur.  For most people now in their 40s and 50s, they struggled in the 90s when they were very young,  did better the next decade, better after that,  etc. As you get older,  a person tends to become more economically secure.  Not everyone,  but most.  So i don't understand your "prove me wrong" silliness.

Yes, politics makes a huge difference for social issues.  Not just abortion, but gay rights, hate crime legislation, gun control, etc.

This seems on point. I was just thinking that the biggest challenge the country faces is a lack of "research" by Democrats. It's really the origin of all of our problems.

Everyone should leave twitter, and all social media, with the exception of this forum.

I totally agree with you, politics really doesn't affect my life.  My problem is I now have too many kids.  ;)

Unless you’re a woman who needs a certain medical procedure.
Correct unless your a woman  so why say this F.SIN? FSin. Seems very disconnected  with reality plus he or she must be for the trump.
Yes, politics makes a huge difference for social issues.  Not just abortion, but gay rights, hate crime legislation, gun control, etc.

let’s not exclude who pays more in taxes and who pays less. Or who gets to vote and who doesn’t. Or which votes are counted equally or which are not. Must be nice for those who don’t need to be concerned about issues like that and those raised above

Not sure why dems need to be attacked in Porch, I though this section of the fan forum was reserved for speculation about future shows and available summer dates in the Grand Canyon or Michigan / Ohio stadiums. But those last two likely not cavernous enough.

Anyone who thinks the Dems are just as guilty as the republicans for bringing in an era of violence and hate to our leadership, just because some politicians need to eat and used to be civil about it, please come over and discuss in AMT, but please stay, not like the occasional righty who drops a rhetorical bomb and leaves.

Back to Elon. I think he did it for ego more than anything else. He already has it all when it comes to wealth. Now he gets to control the world's most important social media app for communication.

Nah. He's a dude who never fit in. He awkward. One day he jokes about buying it. Stumbled into having to buy it after exhausting every way to not have to buy it. And because he's never fit in and is awkward, he's desperately trying to be funny/relevant/troll-y/ "both-sides-y", and he's playing to that group who weirdly like and defend him. Because "LIKES" are the only relevant currency in the attention economy, if you peddle in that.

Twitter is losing about $3mm per day.  They have lost 50 of their top 100 advertising clients,  accounting for $2 billion in revenue.  I certainly hope he has a plan to make it profitable,  otherwise it's gone.

Ah yes, the both sides are the same bs from someone who doesn’t do their research.

opinions on the wuhan lab leak is not "news". it was (and still is) conjecture and people were legitimately afraid that it would lead to violence against asians. which it did.

    https://ccncsj.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Anti-Asian-Racism-Across-Canada-Two-Years-Into-The-Pandemic_March-2022.pdf

the hunter biden laptop thing is also nothing, and they didn't want it leading to more election-meddling bullshit by the right.

I'm not talking about random users. Links to opinions by credentialed scientists (more credentialed than Fauci) were not allowed.

As for Biden's laptop, if it's true, then an article about it should be able to be posted without being censored or without people sharing it being called Russian agents. "Election-meddling bullshit?" To censor a story like that because you think it could hurt Biden in the election (which it wouldn't have) IS election-meddling bullshit.
more credentialed than fuaci? um, ok. the guy spent his entire life studying infectious diseases. And plus, credentialed or not, it was still just opinion. who cares how credentialed they are? there was still no proof or anything to back it up.
Umm, ok, Fauci isn’t the only person who’s studied infectious diseases his entire life. And by “opinions,” I mean opinions backed by research. There were many studies done by scientists all over the globe about this virus, but if their conclusions was that the lab leak was most likely, it wasn’t allowed on Twitter. So they need definitive proof that it’s a lab leak, but Fauci can claim it’s likely from the nearby wet market…with no proof.

I don’t want to litigate Fauci or the virus though. My overall point is that that stuff like that led Musk to buy Twitter….as he’s said.
If it wasn’t allowed in twitter, how was I able to read all the stupid shit about Covid on twitter?

See my earlier post in this thread on how your Congressmen and Senators party together nightly at fancy restaurants all across DC. They’re laughing at us when they dine together, things news cameras won’t show. Whenever Dems have any control why isn’t anything ever done? Good at blaming the other side though, never have the balls to actually make a stand, wonder why? It’s all show, WWE and Porn have better storylines
Pics of Bernie doing shots with Ted Cruz or it didn’t happen.
