Iggy Pop has announced his new album, Every Loser, produced by Andrew Watt and due January 6 via Watt's Atlantic imprint Gold Tooth Records. It features backing from Watt, as well as the late Taylor Hawkins, Travis Barker, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam), Duff Mckagan (Guns N' Roses), Jane's Addiction members Dave Navarro and Eric Avery, former Jane's member Chris Chaney, and former RHCP member/Pearl Jam touring member Josh Klinghoffer. The album features 11 songs, including his recent single "Frenzy" (tracklist below). That's the artwork (by Raymond Pettibon) above. Check out "Frenzy" below and pre-order a vinyl copy here.

I saw him on the Post Pop Depression tour w/ Josh Hommes & company backing him up. It was a hell of a show.
Seeing him stage dive and go into the crowd multiple times one week removed from his 69th birthday was one of the greatest things I've ever seen. He had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand.0 -

I was never into him before… liked Lust For Life & a few other tracks, but if I wasn’t a huge QOTSA fan I wouldn’t have been there… that show opened my eyes to what an amazing showman he is. The only other person I’ve seen own a crowd / stage like that was Annie Clark from St Vincent. There is a great clip on Youtube of Henry Rollins telling about his interactions with Iggy and how he tried to "one up" Iggy whenever they performed at the same festivals. It is hilarious! Iggy is a legend!0
