More awesome artwork for shows that didn't occur.  Do the artists get paid before or after the posters sell?

Before, but it depends on the contract they sign with the band. Some artists are paid in posters they get to sell as AP's

Thats what I've heard. Many get paid via AP prints they sell. The band pays for the printing and all other costs. SO if they make a good print that is well sought out, and they sell 100 copies for 100 bucks each, they make a decent amount. Just what some other posters guys told me.
