I hope they offer preorders and make it easier, but I really don't see why they would.

Or the secondary market. If I buy tickets and get the poster and shirt, but then can't go and sell on F2F, does that buyer get the shirt and poster? Or do they end up spending 2-3x what a normal ticket costs, and then still have to fight crowds for merch?

And then there's the folks who just don't want merch, but now have to spend more to get tickets.

There are workarounds for all of this, but this is how the simple idea of "let us pre-order or include it with tickets" snowballs into a logistical nightmare.
