The jewel in the crown of any pearl jam collection on the chopping block

These do not come up often, and god knows how many have survived and are still out there. These were put out there as a pre release promotional copy of Ten to select  radio stations and people in the media. 

It is believed (and I have since learned that even Ed doesn't really know the accurate answer) that between 100-200 were hand made in 1991. Some were drawn in blue pen, and some green, and a select few had writing on the disc (this one had a different matrix number on the CD). Ed and Jeff took turns in writing the sleeves. 

This is very much a piece of Pearl jam History and where it all began. 

This one is the blue version, and comes with a copy of the note sent out by the Sony rep promoting the band at the time. It really is a great addition to the reeenk and would look great framed with it.

    Is it weird that i've never desired this memorabilia at all? I've tracked down almost every piece of vinyl but cds...even this written on by jeff and ed, nah. anyone else here own one? it'd be cool to track down all 100 or whatever is still 'alive'. someone should start a verified list!

    Thats been done before - there was a twofeetthick article once, and I recall about 17 examples of them were documented. I know of a handful more in collections outside that list also

    Good luck Paul.  I sold mine a couple years ago (you were very helpful in confirming to folks it was real). Just the cd and got $1800 for it. Your note and sleeve add to it.
