25 songs. No covers, no Betterman, Evenflow or Jeremy. Yet plenty of hits for first timers/casual fans. This is a great PJ set on paper!  I would love something like this in Nashville or STL.

(And imo the best four choices off Gigaton. Retrograde is a BEAST)

And honestly it doesn’t even have most of my favorites but I would be so happy to see this set!

Almost a perfect setlist. Thanks PJ.  Such a good time!

    Highlights are..
    Oceans as the opener
    Yellow Moon
Retrograde to close the acoustic set and to open electric
    Whoever Said
    Red Mosquito
    I'm Open
    Superblood Wolfmoon
    Inside Job
    Once

Best set I've seen in a while. Please hope Toronto follows this path!

    Downsides are:
    Given to fly
    Corduroy
    Black
    Porch
    Alive

Those songs are average at best. A few would be okay with me but all 5 is a bit too much for me. Might as well play small town

Off to Toronto. Hoping for a killer setlist Thursday!!!

  • Thought this blew Ottawa out of the water. Pretty sure Ed gave a shoutout to “Tom Horton” which was hilarious.

The 5 “average at best” songs you’re mentioning have just been voted into the Top 10 PJ songs by the 10c fans. Just saying…

I was blown away by the crowd reaction to Who Ever Said. Just amazing. Great show for my first show back. Got Inside Job, and I'm Open! Just one more to finish No Code! (Around the Bend, so that's not happening.)

amazing setlst..still ottawa is my favorite type of setlist...when binaural is on the mix im biased
as i said before frankfurt and amsterdam show for different reasons ..
there is a way with 22-23 songs to blow peoples mind...go out and do acoustic songs,,(so will be different songs every time with that option and we dont miss the old setlist with the encore 1)
throw in the mix one two rare songs..frankfurt got fatal, canada got otherside .man of the hour,..then ,inside job either opener or first song in encore like last night..NAIS as opeener likeAmsterdam
last night,no covers, add sad which is amazing b side song ,another mix of things..
and all will be happy..cos u dont know what u getting..thats the deall.
no 30-32 song, but 22-24?..thats fine when u still find ways to mix it and blow people mind,,there is a way always
thats why u are the best live band of all times,,
pearl jam u are unique..keep it that way..we love u anyway

Best set I've seen in a while. Please hope Toronto follows this path!

    Downsides are:
    Given to fly
    Corduroy
    Black
    Porch
    Alive

Alive is just such an experience though. One of the times the crowd and Ed connect. It's less a song, and more of a celebration.

Given to Fly is also such a crowd-pleaser that if you're someone who wants a "good" crowd, it is a must-have. Watching the floor erupt at the first chorus was something else.

Black... I won't agree it's "mediocre", but I'd be fine seeing it less. I honestly don't think Ed brings the emotion to it that he used to, or that he does to other songs.

Porch and Corduroy... Well, the boys seem to have a blast playing them, so... Sorry, those will probably be in rotation (especially Porch) for awhile. Interestingly, the one setlist change they made last night was to play Corduroy instead of Not For You. Maybe NFY would have been more appropriate for some members of the fanbase...

Fantastic setlist on paper. Seems like their pace was crazy fast...did it feel that way in the room? They were 18 songs in by 10:30. I would have loved this show, but I don't think my wife who loved Ottawa would have as much. Always curious about the process of setlist building Ed goes through. This one obviously had some thought out into it. Can't wait to hear the boot!

Ironically, I agree with you as if any of those songs came on Pandora/Spotify, I would skip as I am tired of hearing them but without those songs launching them into stardom in the 90's, they would be playing Gator Mike's Family Fun Park instead of selling out arenas.  I saw Everclear at Gator Mike's last year and they killed Santa Monica.  Though Everlear is just basically Art now so that may be another reason he's playing arcades.

Sad is my dream..and inside job, man of the hour and I am mine. Lucky ppl who were there in person. I just watched a feed.
  • Great show, great crowd, great setlist, great venue it was loud, but the acoustics were perfect, and unlike the Ottawa show it didn't sound as though Stone's guitar was out of tune the entire night. "Yellow Moon" was the highlight for me. The Lightning Bolt songs always hit me hard, and that tour came at a really important time in my life; I never thought I'd hear it live again, and I was delighted.

Odd, random person PJ/Hamilton stat: I've seen them there twice, I've heard "Sad" twice, I've never heard "Even Flow."
