While I’m beyond tickled Vedder is playing so close to my hometown of San Luis Obispo but those prices WTF? As I know I’ll be able to get tickets for well under $200 each closer to October. This has to be the venue they could make the most off of, as this is rural AF with respect to large populations.
I'd never pay this much to see Eddie or pretty much any band, except maybe PJ, but for this show, I'd be fine paying half that for a spot on the lawn. It's a pretty small venue in the middle of the week. Doubt it will be that hard to get a less expensive ticket.
    10/1/94, 6/22/95, 6/24/95, 9/16/96, 7/22/98, 10/21/01, 6/1/03, 10/25/03, 10/26/03, 9/1/05, 7/15/06, 7/18/06, 8/28/09, 10/07/09, 10/3/12, 11/26/13, 6/18/18, 8/10/18, 5/12/22, 5/13/22, 5/13/24, 5/25/24

If this is the new normal price for the major bands or artists then I can safely say my days of big shows are over. 200 a ticket for an hour and a half to two hours of music just isn’t worth it to me. Don’t forget to add parking, food and drinks and merch. 600 or so total for a date night of music with the wife? Nah. I have better things to spend money on.
    Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.

There were COVID and weather concerns at the time, but you could get into the Earthlings' Chicago shows for $25 day of.

I am glad we don’t have these crazy pricing for shows in Europe so far, 200 USD for a show is insane.
I have just booked a couple of shows in my local arena (6000 cap) and tickets are around 45/50 USD. PJ tickets in Europe for the last tour were 95/125 USD, which is the most expensive tickets I have ever bought…

I agree that $200 is a bit of a shocker, but if you look at some of the prices for the artists doing short Vegas residencies at the same venue it doesn't seem all that bad. Check out Aerosmith and Usher prices.  I'm pretty sure EV could have charged a lot more and still sold out the Dolby Live in Vegas. Especially for one night.

I’m sure he could have and yes those residency prices are outrageous. But the only way for us the fans to win this war against us from the promoters and Ticketmaster is to start boycotting tours and shows. What we are seeing is typical American greed in action and most of us here in the states are so used to being fucked by it so we give in. The only way to win here is to not spend the money. Prices drop near show time and maybe drop all around. This dynamic pricing should be criminal. Why is gouging wrong for the corner store during the pandemic but common practice for tickets. (Both are wrong btw)

Weren’t the Europe shows at 2020 prices set in 2019? We’ve had a long time with high inflation, and doesn’t Europe tour economics work a little differently, where costs are lowered by jamming 70000 people in a fenced in pit with limited facilities/logistics? That stuff worked great when the band and fans were in their twenties, but those of us near the bands age, I don’t get how fans nearing their sixties can stay healthy in conditions  like that. Good for those who can.

Ive heard some smaller bands, the type that maybe play for a thousand fans for US$50 say touring economics have changed post pandemic, and they can no longer break even or profit at $50 per ticket. Unfortunate but true.

I had the same thought but it says "You will receive a separate email with instructions on how to view your tickets." Guess just wait for a bit to find out.

I certainly can't argue against what you are saying. I just wouldn't be able to boycott Pearl Jam for many reasons, but especially not over ticket prices.

I think they've been very mindful to their fans in that area and have probably left millions on the table over the years.

btw - the recent GA fan club tickets they released for Denver were $109 so I don't think this $200 would be a new price point for Pearl Jam. I would say it's more Vegas and the venue, but that wouldn't explain the Cali show.

The Ohanafest is only $160 per day and that includes much more music so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The markup on beer, alcohol, and food...I wish they could do something about that.

Can we bring back tailgating venues?

I have the same - confirmed, but no tickets or seats. The waiting is driving me a little mad. heh!

So I dropped the ball this week when I was out of town so I'm not verified and I didn't get to enter the lotto. does this make it now impossible to try to get GA or good seats?

It probably depends on which show, and how patient you're willing to be. I would guess that GA is out, but if these shows follow the patterns of the previous EV tour, there will be seats available on TicketMaster as the shows get closer.

Pearl Jam has definitely treated the fans right over the years. I will be able to say no to shows now that they have cut the shows by 33% and the setlists seem less varied than ever. But I’ve also seen the band 22 times and Ed like 2 times on top of that. I’m not complaining at all. Times just change and with rising prices the economics just don’t make sense for me anymore. I still love the music and their live shows rule. But the value for the dollar no matter what they charge compared to others has diminished for me and I just don’t need to go like I used to. I feel old just typing this. Lol

and Ohana does rule. Pearl Jam and Brandi Carlile the time I went was an amazing show. With so many other great acts and the vibe and set up. It’s the perfect festival setting.
    Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.
