This year or next year will be 25 year anniversary of one of Pearl Jam’s most legendary shows

    9/11/98

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s this year considering there performing at the garden on that same very date.

maybe they will tie it in all together with a vault.

If this gets over looked, terrible oversight by the vault keeper.
Brett Eliason has confirmed that this show was not recorded.

1996 or 2004 VFC (Reading or Grand Rapids…Toledo would have missing tracks because of Neil, like the Vic). Grand Rapids 2004 audience boot sounds great. Reading 2004 is always my most underrated show of all 40+ I’ve seen
I can get behind either one of those. Been wanting a ‘96 vault release for a long time and the only shows I’ve heard from ‘04 are Kissimmee (not so great sounding bootleg) and the 5 song set they played in Washington.

At this point I’m happy with whatever, but we need a 96 show. Or at the very least a compilation if there are no complete shows.

Yes. The show that never happened. They must be reserving it, or there was a malfunction recording it.

A ‘96 show seems to be what’s most requested. I’m sure they have plenty of complete shows from ‘96 recorded. Hopefully we get one eventually. Berlin or Paris would be great. Especially Berlin.

I’d vote for something from 1996 or 1998.  If they’re going for something more recent then I vote for the London show from 2013.

Another vote for Wembley 07. I was listening to the boot the other day and it was a great show. Would be great to have it in better quality.

I'll be happy with any show that hasn't already been released.

    Vault 11 is Atlanta 1994.
Please release Warsaw 1996 after that.

It was nice to get the complete Atlanta ‘94 show. I was so used to hearing it on the 3CD Dissident set with the Vitalogy songs (etc…) and Eddie’s banter with the audience edited out. Was nice to hear it how I originally heard it on the radio back in ‘94. Any ‘96 show would be welcome for the next vault release.

I think it’s about time for a Canadian show as a vault release. Vancouver ‘98 would be cool.

Why are we suddenly voting for shows that have been officially released as boots?!? Let’s go back to vaults truly being previously unreleased shows. Like London Ontario 2013. Yes Halifax was great. I was there and loved it but I can relive it today on nugs.

I agree. I understand that some people want certain shows to be released on vinyl but I think vault releases should only be shows that haven’t previously been released.

I don't get it either.   I'd prefer to see stuff get released that has no circulating soundboard (official or unofficial).   So many things still unreleased, and we get 1 a year.  I'd rather have stuff that isn't circulating.

As long as it’s a good show I don’t really care.  There are a couple tours 96 or 03 I want on vinyl but as to the specific show whichever sounds best is fine with me.

Spending 70 bucks on something there isn’t a some kind of consensus on how it sounds before ordering is a gamble.

probably doesn’t matter as much to the non vinyl purchasers.  Maybe that’s where the opinions diverge .  Live shows I listen to are probably 99 percent the 9 vaults I have on vinyl and a couple aren’t that great so it’s probably more like 7 or 8 vaults.  It needs to be a really, really good show when you’ve got less shows to choose from

Some people prefer to relive it on wax than on “nugs”.  Just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

I was in Grand Rapids and have a boot... That show was magic.

My vote is the 1998 St. Louis show.  Brendan O'Brien played keyboards that night.

I don't get this line of thinking. Everything has been digitally sourced since the mid-90s. It might sound better on vinyl because of your sound system or whatever, but the quality isn't better.

Please don't let vinyl ruin the vault. There is clearly a market for pressing previously released shows onto vinyl, and PJ should absolutely embrace that. Call it The Black Circle Series and take many people's money. But the vault releases should be shows that never before saw an official release.

I suppose if you think it sounds better then it actually does.

blind taste tests show how your brain influences taste via other senses and your perception of what you prefer.  When you can see it and when you can’t see it matters. The physical experience of playing a record I’m sure can influence how your brain perceives sound

that’s my working theory as I get it shouldn’t sound better.  However it does

I don’t disagree.  I don’t care what they call the vinyl shows.

I tend to think however the downloads and vinyl people are stuck together as I would think the vinyl portion is the profit generating part of the equation

Once again, you don’t have to. I like the ritual. Getting the new wax. Opening it up. Reading the liner notes. Looking at the art work. Appreciating the quality (or lack thereof).
Prepping the wax to play (protecting the sleeve, cleaning the wax).

Dropping the needle and sitting back to listen.  To actually spin a live recording for a concert you attended is priceless. You can’t wipe the smile off my face when spinning Moline.

With your line of thinking it’s already “ruined” 🤷‍♂️.  Ship has sailed.

And that's too bad because with my line of thinking we all have the chance to get more music, and with yours you just have the chance to buy more stuff.

Hilarious, no one has ever accused me of flagrant consumerism in my entire life. Buy more stuff… that’s rich.
