If (BIG IF) we had a non-singing show with Ed tonight... (consider this a Holodeck simulation)

Patti Smith & her band happen to be in the vicinity of Vienna, and White Reaper was set to open, so if they had cobbled together a show, I imagine it'd look something like this:

  1. Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in Small Town - crowd on vocals, band on back-up
  2. Don't Gimme No Lip - Stone on vocals
  3. Mankind - Stone on vocals
  4. Gremmie Out of Control - Josh doing Eddie's part, Stone on background (live debut)
  5. Buttercup (Brad cover) - Josh on vocals (since Pluralone hasn't been the Europe opener, I consider this fair play)
  6. Eruption (VH cover) - Mike
  7. Because the Night (Bruce cover) - Patti Smith on vocals, PJ live debut?
  8. Take the Long Way - Matt on vocals
  9. Black Diamond (cover) - Matt on vocals
  10. Cold Day in the Sun (cover) - Matt on vocals
  11. You Are - Matt on vocals (he wrote it), Josh on backgrounds
  12. Punk Corduroy - White Reaper joins Josh for a quick jam session of this (they did it in 2021!)
  13. Horror Business - White Reaper & Pearl Jam (Misfits cover)
  14. No Jeremy - no vocals, lol
  15. Alright - Jeff on vocals (I believe there is a demo of him doing it)
  16. I Just Wanna Have Something To Do (cover) - Jeff on vocals
  17. Sweet Lew - Jeff on vocals
  18. Pilate - Jeff on vocals (he wrote it)
  19. Little Wing (SRV style) - Mike
  20. Purple Rain - Josh on vocals
  21. Better Man/People Have the Power tag - Patti Smith, or crowd on vocals (if not Patti, they'd probably do Save it For Later, if the boys led them!)
  22. Alive - Patti, or crowd on vocals (c'mon, we know the lyrics by now)
  23. Baba O'Riley - Patti, or crowd on vocals, any band member for the "don't cry" Pete Townshend part
Not the ideal set-up by any stretch, but the trade off would be make it free? I mean, apply for your refund, get it, but as for the actual show? First come first serve, and break even with merch, food & drink sales? Maybe a few tracks from solo albums & side projects?
Like I said, just a simulation :) There is no replacing Ed.
As cool as NeilJam was, no one wants a set full of repeats. No Ed = No PJ.

They wouldn’t even have to play as many songs as that. 15 would suffice.

Pearl Jam karaoke with the band playing the background music. Donations to the Vitalogy Foundation to perform a song.

They probably don’t remember how to play all of that stuff

You forgot letting a crowd member sing Even Flow....like Ed used to do for part of it during the 2016 tour.

The 16 tour was fun for that.  They would try and do requests, lots of fan/band member interaction those shows.  McCready was handing out picks on his side and going down the rail.  He got about half way and ran out.  I looked at him from Stones side and mouthed "oh c'mon" and he put his hand in his pocket pulled out nothing and shrugged and mouthed "sorry" to me.  I laughed.

Lol! I never saw this post. The only good thing about the Vienna cancellation (Prague too) was not having to see White Reaper again.
