A Dave K / Jack Show

Asking too much probably but absent Matt that'd pretty much be a dream show for me. What I've heard of the Ten songs with Krusen sounded great and I have always loved Jack's playing. Could have Richard/Josh round out the non- Ten/No Code/Yield numbers.

Quit playing games with my heart!
Want Matt back for these last 2 shows, but Krusen killed it.  Would love either an acoustic show, Jack on drums, or a full Ten show including the deeper cuts with Krusen.
Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

    I’m all for it.

at the same time I feel terrible for Matt. How this guy can ever feel secure in his place (with the fan base) is beyond me. Any opportunity and it’s a mad dash to replace him.

He’s my favourite PJ drummer, but even I am supportive of this.

it’s just a weird place to be in

  • I agree with this. Seeing Dave K in Fresno was something I didn't expect to see and a great surprise for the fans that were there.. I'd love for them to see about doing something similar with Dave A and Jack for Sac and Vegas if Matt is not ready to go for those shows. Something unique and different for each of the shows.

Feel secure?  These guys are all doing one-offs. Nobody is saying replace MC.

I’m saying the fans.  Past drummers are always a topic around here.  MC is is debated endlessly so yeah I imagine that would be frustrating 25 years on.

I think it’s fair to say 1/2 the fans (or at least a substantial number) would go with someone else given the choice. The excitement for someone new even for a show to me can be taken that way

There’s an enormous gap between daydreaming about scenarios that could make the shows fun/unique in Matt’s absence and wanting him “replaced.”

Cameron is one of the best drummers in the world, one of the best rock drummers ever, and is BELOVED by PJ and Soundgarden fans. I don’t imagine he feels the least bit insecure about folks wanting to see Irons or Krusen sit in for a show Matt literally can’t physically play.
