My guess is 10-12 September shows starting in the Midwest and heading west towards Ohana. Maybe PJ plays there, maybe they don't.
A lot of conversation on Mansfield (Boston) too.

Agree on number of shows and on could go either way with Ohana

if 10 - 12 ends up being the number, with discussion on the shows below

    Chicago - 2
    Noblesville - 2
    Mansfield - 2
    Vegas - 1
    Minnesota (Somerset 1?)?

    Would leave 2 - 4 shows TBD based on 10 - 12 expectation.

does strike me that Noblesville on a weekend could make a lot of sense as a general canvas to cover Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio which were missed on 2022 dates.

with Chicago and Minnesota to cover areas that might have got dates on the planned fall 2020 tour.
They are not playing Somerset. If they are playing MN it will be the X, wish is would be Target Field. But zero chance they play a field on the apple river

OK, got it just looked at venue and don’t disagree. I’m assuming X is the hockey/basketball arena.

saw Outlaw Fest is playing the Somerset amphitheater but agree not particularly likely after seeing the venue.

If Chicago is in fact on tour and at UC then would make sense to be a mix of arenas and sheds.

I assume Vegas would likely also be an arena at MGM.

If I dare to dream, would be nice for Climate Pledge to be on there as well :)

Do you have to fly by 7/14 or book by then? Hopefully something gets announced before that date.
Fly by then. At this point, I think I'm just gonna use it to go back to Hawaii. I'll just have to pay for my flights if PJ does announce something. A lot of the rumored fall stops are within driving distance for me anyway.
There's a hack that works sometimes in this scenario...May be worth investigating, I was able to use it on American Airlines, not sure about others... Basically, you use your credit/voucher and book a refundable flight with it, wait a bit and then cancel the new flight. I did that and it "reset" the clock for me for another year. It's possible this was when the rules were relaxed during COVID but I've heard others are still using this as a way to buy more time. Good luck!
Thanks! It actually still seems to work. I just booked a flight with part of it, and now the remaining balance doesn't expire until next March. This was on American also.

Summerfest in Milwaukee still has multiple headliners to be announced. Tickets already on sale.

The only way I see Matt doing FF is because Pearl Jam doesn’t have shows planned.  I’m doubtful he’s picking foos over PJ.  So it would be a heads up as to their plans.  Either way it’s a good thing to have some clarity about a tour.

One thing to consider is that it’s been mentioned that there may be two drummers that will rotate (Atom Willard).

I could see it being Matt as the primary with a backup to accommodate Pearl Jam’s limited touring plans.

It makes sense for Matt to join as he’s not consistently busy between Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. The rotating or back up drummer would make it easy to accommodate when he needs to prioritize Pearl Jam.

In fact, writing it out, I wonder if that’s part of why Foo Fighters haven’t announced anything formally on who will be drumming.

It’s possible that they plan to detail who will drum at each show which would foreshadow Pearl Jam’s plans or beg the question of why Matt can’t make some of the shows.

In that scenario, it would make sense for Foo Fighters to announce after Pearl Jam’s plans are out in the open (whenever that is).

I'm still skeptical of the MC rumor, and even more skeptical of the rotating drummer scenario.

I still think it will be Josh Freese.

If it were Josh Freese, why wouldn’t they have announced it already?

With all the festivals they are playing that have been announced, it’s the elephant in the room that fans would like to know.

Seems like there has to be a likely rationale as to why they haven’t come out and said “we are continuing as band with whoever carrying on Taylor’s legacy etc etc”

Not saying that it is in fact Matt, but saying there’s a reason it’s not been announced most likely, whatever that reason is.

    I have no idea.

If I were a betting man though, I would bet on Freese.

An honest question for @Santos L. Halper or @Rubysdad or even @Sea or @Kat

Do you ever laugh at how little we know and when some of these predictions/guesses fall flat? It's gotta be GREAT entertainment for you all, I'd think.
I also hope they all get a kick out of when these threads derail into hilarious tangents, like the current one about dental hygiene. My vote for the top two so far are mind your molars and dance of the orthodontists. That’s comedic gold right there!

After giving it more thought, they're probably just having fun w/ the anticipation, and holding off on announcing it BECAUSE they know people really want to know. That's why they aren't announcing it... they're just f'ing w/ everyone.

So, at this point, can we all agree that there will be no PJ shows before 7/14? I have a sizeable flight credit that expires that day. I've been holding onto it in hopes of some PJ dates. But it seems as though none will be forthcoming (at least by then).

However, the photo they used featured a girl wearing a "free show" wristband.
I thought it said First Show, but I might be wrong. Don't have my phone/IG in front of me.

Probably 2-3 weeks from Ohana lineup announcement. Last year they announced on April 11 (would be April 10 this year). If PJ is playing, my guess is they would announce their September tour at the same time.

I think they’ll give Ohana a few weeks to sell on its own. May announcement at the earliest IMO.

After giving it more thought, they're probably just having fun w/ the anticipation, and holding off on announcing it BECAUSE they know people really want to know. That's why they aren't announcing it... they're just f'ing w/ everyone.
Could be they are working out contracts with drummers.

Encore died on the vine last year without PJ on the bill. If Ed/Ohana are still hoping to launch that as a yearly event, it makes sense to try and schedule Pearl Jam.

Or we could never hear about Encore ever again.

What’s worse? Checking this thread every day, or leaving it alone for a little while, seeing triple-digit new posts, getting excited and then skimming to find no real updates? I’ve done it both ways and can’t decide.
