I don't really care for most modern rock music. Most if sounds bland, overproduced and lacks soul. You can't really tell one singer from another, and they bury the vocals behind the instruments.
I dunno. I love 70s rock. So Great Van Fleet kind of scratches that itch. I know there's been a few bands over the years that have been billed as sort of sounding like Zeppelin. Sure the singer sounds like Robert Plant, but at least the singer sounds like something
I got to see them do a bar show in Toronto (Rebel Nightclub) in 2018. It was a pretty good show. They only had the double EP at the time, with their first full album getting close to coming out. My only complaint about the show was that it was short (but what do you when you only have so many songs).

GVF is a joke. The singer doesn't even sing, he just wails incoherently. And his stage presence is awful. They have talent but it is going to waste. Bands like Rival Sons and Dirty Honey are 1,000 times better.0

I dont know why ripping off Zep's sound would be a bad thing. Some of their hits are catchy. Like others are saying, at least they play rock. We need more classic-rock sounding bands out there IMO.Mansfield 6/30/08 - Wrigley Field 7/14/13 - Worcester I 10/15/13 - Global Citizen 9/26/15 - MSG II 5/2/16 - Fenway I 8/5/16 - Fenway II 8/7/16 - Fenway II 9/4/18 - LA I 5/6/22 - LA II 5/7/22 - MSG 9/11/22 - Nashville 9/16/22 - St. Paul I and II 8/31/23-9/2/23 - Napa 5/25/24 - MSG I 9/3/24 - MSG II 9/4/24 - Hollywood FL I 4/24/25 - Hollywood FL II 4/26/250

I like Pearl Jam and am curious about their rumored but not yet announced 2023 tour. I may be in the wrong place.

what's funny is the last band I thought sounded like Zeppelin was Wolfmother. No idea what happened to them. GVF reminds me of Godsmack who started as an AIC cover band, or Creed or any other band that seemed to simply imitate another band's sound... it feels gimmicky, like Wolfmother.

GVF immediately preceded PJ at B&B last year. Suffice it to say, and with all due respect, I did not feel any lost opportunity to secure my spot as close as possible to the PJ stage while GVF performed on the other stage.PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.
