Wanted Posters: WPB '98, Tampa/WPB '00, Tampa '03, EV Batmobile '08 ISO: any picks, or setlists from any of my shows!
My sense is the this killer US tour was a lead up to a US Stadium Tour next year. They could have done multiple nights in many markets; but opted for one arena show. Ticket resale prices were crazy. Setlists were crazy. This all builds up demand for the band which will support a 2023 Stadium Run. Touring is more expensive now. Another more extensive stadium run makes sense for them at this point in their careers.
I would disagree with this. They can play ballparks in Boston, NYC, Chicago, Philly, and Seattle. Every other market is an Arena at the most.
Even for the Fenway shows in 2018, tickets weren't THAT hard to come by near the date of the show
As crazy as resale was for NYC and Philly, the total opposite was true for the California and other spring shows. There was also plenty of tickets available the week of for most of the fall shows this year.
Fenway in 2018 is not a great barometer. They played Sunday and Tuesday around Labor Day. Tons of people on here talked about not being able to go to the Tuesday show because of school starting. Move those shows a week earlier, and it's probably a different situation.
"I'm a lucky man, to count on both hands the [shows I've done]. Some folks just have one, others they got none..."
what do I know but if I was them I would want to stay close to home at this point, meaning USA and Canada. Traveling abroad seems like too much work at this point in their career. Just my opinion of course.

Bingo. I'd have loved to make that Tuesday show and extend my stay in Boston a few days, but that date was impossible for me.
Also, the Sunday fenway market was tight, everything on stub hub was over $300 and nothing was available on the field.
Its been so long since they did a reasonable 25 show US areana tour, a stadium tour now would be brutal. Might as well buy an ant farm if they're gonna play stadiums without a huge light show and huge screens

They're going to have to do that part of the country sooner or later.
Ohio got one show in 2014, two in 2010, two in 2006, and two (should have been three) in 2003...plus the one Vote for Change show which doesn't really count.
I forget the exact numbers, but Columbus is something like an eight hour drive from 70% of the USA population. at Santos, at RubysDad, at Sea, at Kat....haha.
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"
While a 10th anniversary of the first Wrigley show would be fun (especially if they played their original, full setlist), I hope the midwest gets a lot more love than 1-2 ballpark shows.
