Anyone going to Budapest and Paris (Lollapalooza) this summer? Advice/Tips?

Husband and I are going and have never been to either city.  Would love tips/insight from any PJ fans, tourists and locals, about where to stay, what to check out, where to have the pre-show (and post-show) drinks.  In Europe, we saw them in Buenos Aires (La Plata), Barcelona, and Madrid (Mad Cool Fest).  Each show was amazing, even at the Mad Cool Fest, they put on an excellent and full show.
Can't wait for this summer to get started.

Yeah I'm going to Budapest. Never been either but I can't wait. In my research the Pest side has more of the activity in the city.

Neither of those cities would be at the top of my list right now.  That being said, no trip to Paris is complete without having a Pain au chocolat from a local boulangerie/patisserie.  If you’re into history the day trip to Normandy is memorable.  If you’re going to do the standard tourist thing there’s the Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysées and the Louvre.  I’d expect tons of crowds at those places in July.  Advance booking may be needed.  Honestly if you’re going to be in Europe for Budapest and Paris you may as well ditch the Paris festival show and see them in an arena in Krakow and do something else in Paris.  Assuming Krakow will be safe, who knows (same goes for Buda).
