Tracked some low end today on a new tune of mine that required a little McCartney and a little Ament:) It came out all McAmentney, and it made me happy!:)
While organizing my office nook today, I came across this pass from many moons ago.
The Stones @ the Oakland Coliseum!
And whom was the support you might ask?
That’d be Pearl Jam:)
When Ament hooked me up as a support guest, I knew this was going to be a game changer on date night!
Cathrine and I had been together for 6 mos at this point long distance. (Me in Seattle, her in Chicago).
We rendezvoused in San Francisco for a lovers get away. Dined at Chef Ghias, fell in deeper love at Vesuvios and topped it off with a little PJ action and the greatest rock n roll band for a night we’d never forget in Oakland!
Fall of ’97, 14 years before we would actually live here in the Bay Area….(Oakland to be precise:)
Rock n roll n love memories are now swirling around in full effect!

Sunset Ghosts evolved out of a
songwriting spree in the spring and summer of 2022 on the island of
Crete, with the exception of a couple of tunes pulled off the shelf from
an earlier moment in time.
Many of the songs elude to past memories going back to childhood as well
as not too far off memories and then the challenges of being at one
with the present moment.
Recorded in Oakland, San Diego, LA and Seattle, the album began to take
on a more solid form with many guest musicians coming into the picture
in the various studios.
The combination of tracking songs as a multi instrumentalist and cutting
tunes live with some of the players proved to be an enjoyable
experience all around!
I am incredibly happy with this record and I can't wait to put it out into the world and share it with you!
