Their history of playing one night only at venues where they usually play two is quite good. Boston 2010, Philly 2005, etc.

This might be a special night.

My only concern is that they pull out a couple of special songs at Appollo and then don’t want to repeat them.

I think Apollo might turn out be more Oracle secret show than Vic. Just a hunch.

For the people who got tickets for this show this year.  What was the price per ticket? I'm hearing prices went up. Also did anyone who asked for a refund get tickets again?

I paid $260 for my pair. Less than Camden so I think prices were the same or similar.

I think especially if it's still for SiriusXM, which I assume it will be. How many rarities will they whip out when a bunch of the audience is Howard Stern, Sirius execs and other VIPs? I think the Apollo will be a fun show in a historic and tiny venue, but I don't think the setlist will look like the Vic.

    Again, just my opinion.

Thoughts on this hotel? Yotel Times Square.

We are staying for 3 nights in New York and have never been there. Is this a decent location to jump around and see some sights?

It’s a no frills extremely small rooms place but cost is always good. In times square which I hate every second of. :)

Can you request a room not facing 10th Avenue? I can go view a room for you.

Times Square is a nightmare. I avoid it at all costs. But it is centrally located so it depends on what you want to see. Just be prepared to be accosted by people dressed as superheros, and people passing out flyers for bus tours, and strip clubs at every turn. Also, try not to eat in that area. It is a lot of chain restaurants. If you walk west to 9th Avenue you will be in Hell's Kitchen and there are way better places to eat. Feel free to PM me for any NYC advice. I have been living here for 27 years.
