Curious if anyone has contracted covid and think it was from the shows? Lots of unmasked folks etc. and we are getting to that time frame when symptoms would arise.
Omg stop it. “If” they got Covid after a Vedder show they could have gotten it from the gas station attendant before or after the show, the bar tender at the bar pre show /post show, mom who goes to church on Sunday but swears she wears her mask, their asymptomatic neighbor a week ago, the server post show, pre show, day before the show, the person in the office they’re banging, the guy in the bathroom at work, etc.
I fucking loathe people that are like “I don’t have Covid” How do you fucking know you didn’t just get it picking up that 6 pack at the Circle K or from the In and Out Burger order taker standing too close to your car. You ABSOLUTELY CANNOT say exactly where you got Covid unless you live in a bubble and get parachuted into a show (no crew or pilot on that plane mind you) and jet pack back your bubble. That is the ONLY way you could truly say “I got Covid at an Earthlings show”

I think I caught it from someone at the Circle K who caught it from someone at In &Out Burger who caught it from someone at the Earthlings warm-up show.
Some people can have a reasonable suspicion that they caught it at or around the show depending on their day to day activities around the event. If I was working for five days around the event, was able to socially distance at work, and caught Covid then it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think I caught Covid at the show where my exposure risk was a ton higher.

Reasonable Suspicion gets people arrested for crimes they didn’t commit. Social distanced until the show? I call bullshit. If you’re willing to go to a rock concert you are not a person that social distanced a week prior.

Sure, but not everyone going to a concert may be a social butterfly around the show. Agree it is hard to know for sure.
It is a simple question. Does anyone have covid that did not prior to a show. Yes you could have gotten it anywhere. You want to rant and piss and moan then have at it.
Really no way to know how someone did or did not get it at any single event, but since you're asking... Went to both Ohana's, including flying home in between, and went to Newark last weekend. No covid for me. I will say after the LA/San Diego postponement, I may rethink shows that require flying for awhile as I would rather not worry about losing flight money, rebooking, etc.
words seem so out of place.

I went to 11 UGA football games this year with full stadiums, no masks, and no social distancing. Along with a few concerts at full capacity with no masks and no social distancing. Never had an issue after any of the events.

One of my kids had it, exposed his brother at home before we knew he was positive and he didn’t get it. He ended up getting it later and he socially distances (the best a kid can do) and masks (always) outside the house.
It’s sometimes random as an event when someone should obviously catch it and don’t then they get it at a way lower risk situation. A correlation to a specific source is just guessing. So if you did get it, I wouldn’t be so sure it was from the concert or game.

It isn’t a simple question…it is a question with no true answer and one that creates/promotes discourse. This virus is perfect in that way…there are no right or wrong answers…the virus creates division. As soon as we all figure that out, we will all be better off. Agree to disagree and move on to some other topic. Like how great that Chicago show was on Thursday night.

I mean, "Does anyone have covid that did not prior to a show" seems like a simple question to me. If someone is worried about catching it, I assume that comes with the whole pre/post show travelling and not just the concert itself. They may just be wanting to gauge how likely it is. Everyone wants to go back to normality at different rates. Your response was fine, but the original reply feels harsh to me not understanding how people (the original poster) feel and what theyve been through because of this virus so far.

That immunity is gone. Get vaxxed
Okay Sport. So the vax provides unlimited and all powerful protection? Great! I wasn't aware of that.

I effectively gave up on this board because of posts like this. Came back after months away to see if there was any tour news. But here we are, some things never change. Amazing this is still a topic around here, not trying to sound condescending but people need to get a grip. Covid deaths among those fully vaccinated and boosted is .1 per 100,000. Omicron is 91% less lethal than prior strands. These are CDC backed facts by the way. Time to move on, if you can’t accept that level of risk you need to build a bunker and hide in it indefinitely. Everyone is going to get Covid multiple times over the course of their life. Eat healthy, exercise, get boosted and stop spreading unnecessary fear.

This is part of the issue. Flying is actually low risk due to the re-circulation rate, filtration of the air, and the amount of fresh air brought into the cabin. People's ability to gauge risk is somewhat off.
