The only restrictions in Berlin are FFP2 masks on public transport. I flew from Dublin to Berlin and did not have to wear a mask but flew from Lisbon to Berlin and had to, so it seems to depend on where you are flying from.

Also if you download the BVG app you can buy the €9 public transport ticket that allows you free travel on all public transport in Germany in June. It'll get you in from the airport and free trains and buses all around Berlin.
The ticket should also be available at ticket machines at stations.
As said before, with this ticket you can travel troughout Germany for one month. You can use it on any local/regional route and make as many journeys as you like.
BUT it is not valid on long-distance trains (e.g. IC, EC or ICE) or long-distance buses.
So you can´t  use it on the ICE from Berlin to Zurich.
    https://www.bahn.com/en/offers/regional/9-euro-ticket-en
Will this ticket work on the s-bahn, s 9 line from the airport to Pichelsburg please?

Yes! Also in Frankfurt SBahn to the arena
you can also buy it in the DB app (Deutsche Bahn)
    Great thanks for confirming!
Will it work straight from an app or do you still need to print and validate your ticket before boarding the train?

Straight from the app. You‘ll find the ticket on the front page of the app. Or you can go to a ticket machine
    Thanks for the info

EasyJet have just rebooked us on different flights, days and UK airports for the Amsterdam shows. There’s a real chance we’ll miss night one if we go ahead with the trip on the outbound flight we’ve been offered because of the mess that are uk airports at the moment coupled with having to queue at Schipol to get through immigration now. Such a pain as there’s nothing even remotely affordable to change to and can’t refund or sell on my 10c tickets. I’m so very sick and tired of what Covid and Brexit have done to my country.

I’m just venting because I’m frustrated but I’m beginning to think that this tour isn’t going to happen for me ☹️

Thanks for the thought but it all seems to be booked  or very expensive as is the ferry. It’s the first weekend of the school holidays so there’s not a lot of scope for moving things around by the look of it. Just gonna have to make a decision as to if it’s worth running round like loons to try and make it work with the knowledge that it could very easily not come off.

Take the risk and if it doesn't come off you get a nice time in Amsterdam regardless. I feel your pain though. What a colossal shambles our country has become.

They cancelled ours yesterday too but offered us an alternative earlier the same day (arriving Sunday morning). Just waiting for Prague to get shelved now as their schedule shows no flights in the 2 weeks in July.

Thanks all, I’m Suffolk way and there’s a flight out of Luton slightly earlier on the Sunday that they have managed to get my wife and I on and (shockingly given what they had suggested) we fly back into the same airport a few days later. We were originally going from Gatwick. If all goes well we’ll dash to the hotel, grab some food from Febo and head off to stand near the back somewhere. I’ll definitely need the seats we’ve got for night 2 :)

So Amsterdam is restricting flight traveling? I just received an email that my flight from Amterdam to Helsinki iw canceled. Now I'm waiting if I get same email regarding my flight from Helsinki to Amsterdam. Does anybody know something about this? Is this going to be a real problem?

The problem in the UK is a lack of trained airport staff post-Covid so they're cancelling a lot of flights to numerous destinations, not just Amsterdam. They're meant to offer you an alternative flight, not always with the same carrier, or a full refund.

Yes, that’s pretty much the situation with the UK side of things. I believe Schiphol also has pretty bad problems at the moment for a lot of the same reasons we’ve got. They have also just cancelled lots of flights.

No, we got put on the one around lunchtime so it should be ok provided everything runs smoothly. I figure we should be at the hotel by 5:30 or 6pm if we don’t have to spend more than a couple of hours in queues or with delays. just a much longer day than we were expecting 😂

So I guess I picked the wrong destination for my PJ gig. Hope I find alternative flight for reasonable price. Covid just keeps on finding new ways to mess with me seeing PJ.
