He’s really good about communication- I emailed him because I ordered both the skeleton key and the 1991 back in September, and I just got the skeleton key yesterday. He got right back to me and said it’ll be shipping next week. So soon! Also, I paid like $85 each 🤷
It's weird but a lot of online stores that use Shopify adjusts to the currency to the country that you are in automatically. The first I noticed this was when Ames Bros had their first archive sale last year. Usually the default would be in US currency. I didn't have to do anything on the website to find out how much it would be in CDN currency.

I got mine got mine delivered on Friday after waiting about a month (which I was totally fine with).
My first reaction was that the pedal was cool but it had an unusual amount of hiss, but I could get over it. Also noticed the on/off switch seemed unstable too.
Today I went to use it for the second time and the Bass knob fell off. Then I plugged it in and the pedal didn’t even work anymore. I emailed the company. But I’m so bummed right now.

I seem to remember others saying this guy was really good about making any problems right (though not always quickly- very small outfit). So hopefully it will all turn out well for you.

Thank you.
Did anyone else's pedal has a very strong hiss? Or did your on/off switch make a very loud click when pressing? Or have a knob fall off? lol

How are you powering it? I usually only notice hiss when I’m low on current (to clarify, at home by myself, no hiss. At band practice with tons of electrical stuff plugged in, hiss)

At home with a voodoo labs pedal power 3 plus. I’ve used 10+ other pedals with this power supply with no issues. During my one use with this pedal I had to crank my noise gate up very high.

I found the problem. Cable running to power supply was broken. Okay, that’s a relief!!!!
Now I just have to fix the knob that fell off. Haven’t figured out how to do that yet.
Dang. I haven't had any problems with mine. Also, glad I got it when it was a bit cheaper.

Okay, so everything is worked out. I had to buy a tool to put the bass knob back on. The on/off switch is a little wonky but it works just fine. And the reason it was not playing at all one day was because of the cable which went out, not the pedals fault.
Very happy with the product and I learned to play Dark Matter while using it!
Spring 2024 Stock Update; Guitar Shows; Shipping Updates; New Release
Hello,
It
has been some time since I was last in touch and I dare say that a huge
amount has happened over the past few months so it felt like high time I
sent out a message and let you all know what's going on in the world of
FLB.
STOCK UPDATE The Skeleton Key
and 1991 both continue to be in high demand for which I can only say a
big thank you; it means the world to me that so many of you have taken
these funny little boxes into your hearts and onto your boards and are
spreading the word to others. The 1991 has been unavailable for a while
for various boring reasons however will be available for pre-order once
more from 5pm UK time today with a lead time of 6 weeks. The Skeleton
Key continues to be available for pre-order and I am happy to say that
lead times for it have been reduced to 3 weeks.
Shipping Update Shipping
has been, quite frankly a nightmare in the past few months,
particularly on the overseas front. Having had no real issues prior to
November of last year, since then I have had all sorts of weird things
going on with packages seemingly vanishing into the ether. If you have
contacted me regarding an order that you should have received ages ago
but has not materialised then please know I am working on getting things
resolved as fast as I can.
All orders placed in January and
February will have shipped by the end of play today so be on the lookout
for dispatch notices; hopefully there will be no issues with this lot
going out!
Guitar Shows I had a great
time at the UK Guitar Show in Birmingham earlier this month so thank you
if you were one of the many who came by the stall; chatted, tried out
and in many cases bought pedals. It was great to meet so many of you,
see old friends and make some new ones. Myself and Mrs. FLB will be back
at the Bristol Guitar Show on the 14th April so please do come and say
hello if you are going to be in attendance.
New Stuff Pedal
number 3 is nearing the end of its long development period and after a
few final tweaks will be ready to move from prototype into production.
Myself and Matt are extremely excited about this one and cannot wait to
get it out into the world.
As well as new pedals, there is also
going to be a new face at FLB. Whereas I am extremely proud of how FLB
has operated as a one man show these past few years, the past months
have lead me to recognise that I have been spread very thin indeed by
the workload and have inadvertently become a bottleneck in the operation
of the business which has lead to some customers having an experience
of FLB that falls below the standard I set for myself. As such I am
taking on an employee from the middle of April. This should help to
ensure consistency of production and bring those wait times down
significantly whilst freeing me up for design work and ensure that the
new release has a smooth launch.
I think that covers everything for now; I shall be in touch with further updates soon.
As usual, it has been ages since I last got in touch with you
all! However, rather a lot more has been happening than usual so please
excuse the amount of information I am going to bombard you with in this
newsletter.
Part of the reason I have been so quiet recently has
been due to some recent, unforeseen health issues that involved a period
of hospitalisation and kept me away from work for some time. I am now
on the mend and doing fine; however during this same time I encountered a
major spanner in the works in terms of the 1991 production.
Without
warning, the particular shade of pink that is used for the enclosure of
the 1991 was discontinued due to my supplier running out and being
unable to source any more of it, which sadly remains the case with no
sign of a restock any time soon.
I will continue to try and source enclosures in the intended shade of pink for the future, butI
have taken the decision to use this situation as an opportunity to
produce the 1991 in limited edition colourways. The first of which being
the rather fetching sparkly gold outfit you can see above. I can assure
you it is a cosmetic difference only. The circuit is still exactly the
same in every way and completely uncompromised.
Those with orders
already in for the 1991 have been notified of the change in advance of
this going out. For those of you who have been waiting for the chance to
buy a 1991; thank you for your patience, the wait is over and you can
purchase a gold-sparkle 1991 via the button below with a current lead
time of 3-4 weeks.

I love how everything is set to max in the photo lol
Please Note this is a pre-order. Please allow 3-4 weeks from purchase date for shipping.
This is the exact same circuit as the original pink 1991.
International customers please be aware that you are liable for all fees/taxes/duties incurred at your end; by completing your purchase you are accepting responsibility for these. Any orders returned due to unpaid fees will be subject to either a second shipping charge for redelivery or a deduction of return fees from any refund given.
