Tour dates?

Soooo, PJ played a show last night, playing a few more in 2 weeks. Dead heads filled Wrigley with 45,000 last night. Foo Fighters are playing sell outs nightly. When are we getting some tour dates? There’s obviously little worry from the band of Covid if they are playing shows so let’s get on with it and give us something to look forward to. The only concerts I had tickets for prior to March 2020 that are still postponed are theirs.

They'll get there.  I think the playing a few festival dates was them testing the waters.  With the Covid thing ebbing and flowing, I think they erred on the side of caution.

Hopefully we here something soon.  On the other hand the US hasn't opened up the land border yet, so that's going to cause me some issues if oakland gets its date before I can cross.   I'm not super eager to fly.. lol.

I hear what you’re saying about how they’re playing (outdoor) shows right now, but it seems to me like you’d have to be completely fucking crazy to announce/confirm indoor arena dates right now. Nobody has any idea whatsoever about what the country & world is going to look like six months from now.

The very first thing Eddie said last night was about how much worse things are right now than they were when they committed to these shows earlier this year. My guess is that they’re going to be very conservative in committing to those rescheduled shows. That might mean a pretty late announcement - like maybe announcing in January that they’re doing rescheduled shows in March if conditions look favorable. I’m sure that would piss off a lot of people around here, but I think that might just be the world we live in for a while here.

That sounds great to me! Less of an agonizing wait for the shows to arrive once they’re scheduled.

  • Considering that the band was one of the first to cancel/postpone things in March 2020 I'd guess that they'll be pretty conservative announcing more dates.
Way to tough too predict where COVID heading in most parts of the country.  Just look at the difference between where we thought we were in June 2021 compared to now.  At that time perception was COVID would be mostly "over" by the end of summer.
I think things will have a shorter lead time for scheduling dates, especially if any indoor shows happening.

Things keep trending in the right direction and I'd say spring next year. One thing about PJ is they like to move one thing at a time!

Glad I didn’t let go of my tickets last year, the secondary market is crazy right now, people paying double face for lawn tix for Chris Stapleton. $45 face value tickets are on stubhub for $100+ and selling. PJ gonna be nuts when they do reschedule
