Only kidding man. This is all a matter of opinion, obviously.www.myspace.com0 -
Can’t think anything other than this is a song about Chris ‘I search the sky for a glimpse of his blue eyes’!!!……and the ‘fuck you’s’ at the end, are they for Vicky?!?! Whatever the subject matter I absolutely love it and the final section is pure PJ, band playing or not! Here’s to more of the same!0

In the verses before, he basically says, "If you die before I do, and get to heaven, put your arms around my friend and tell him Fuck You for me, for dying. Thats what friends are for."

This is quite the song, musically a bit deceptive since it's quite upbeat, but those lyrics really cut deep. I think it's a given that he's singing about Cornell, and his brother Chris. I think the fuck yous at the end reflect the frustration of losing loved ones in fucked up situations, at least that's how I interpreted it. The vocals towards the end are excellent0

Yeah now that you put it that way that makes sense. I’m totally in love with this song, very well written, both music and lyrics……the ending is some of the best I’ve heard in a while0

I also get shades of Amongst The Waves and towards the end, a more melodic Insignificance, thought I might be hearing things!0

Just kidding....just referencing your pseudonym.“I suppose our capacity for self-delusion is boundless.” ― John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America0 -
Eddie tried to take out every hook from songs around No Code. He is definitely embracing big choruses with big hooks. I like the song. The lyrics make this average song better.0
