    Worked for me; did you use CAPS?

    One last question heading in, what was the weather like? Does it get cool enough at night that I should bring a jacket? I’m used to Northern California beaches where it gets cold and windy at night. 

    Plan for the same. It's 6a.m. and 57 right now.

    Edit to add: should be a bit warmer than last weekend, especially during the day, and certainly not as wet.

    I only really know Marriotts, have stayed at the Marriott in Del Mar (just off of 5) and the Residence Inn (across the street from it) and the Residence Inn in La Jolla near UCSD (also just off of 5), all are decent. These are 60-65 minutes south of the shuttle parking in Aliso Viejo and 20-25 minutes from the SD airport.

    I don't know anything about hotels in Oceanside.

    Looking at Marriott site: Springhill Suites in O-side is available, $271(!!)/night.
    Courtyard on 101 in Solana Beach, $232/night
    Courtyard in Carlsbad, $161
     The Residence Inn San Diego/ Del Mar that I mentioned above is available, $208/night
