Interesting that the delayed seemed to be because of MLB strike and figuring out the ballparks and then it's announced and there's no ballparks listed...
It was never because of the MLB lockout (not a strike).

Sorry I missed the discussion...where did the rumor for the ballparks come from?  Is it just a guess or hopeful group that PJ is adding ballparks to the tour?

I would be shocked if they didn’t add at least one more MSG show. Maybe that’s what those gaps in the schedule are for around mid September.
Would they really do 3 NY shows in a row?

I think the only option if they do two is do the 13th and go back to back with Camden but really I think we are only getting 1 MSG.
Sure they could easily do it, and probably will.
On the west coast they are doing 3 shows in 4 days.

My biggest question is whether we think they'll continue to do shorter sets like in 2021 (granted, those were all festivals) and that abbreviated version is here to stay or whether they'll return to their usual 28-33 song sets.

IMO the days of 33+ song sets are probably a thing of the past, at least for shows w/ an opening act.

I do hope I'm wrong though.

I would rather hear 20+ songs at album tempos than 30+ songs played as fast as possible.

My guess would be 25-28 songs. which is still awesome when you think of other bands. My favourite bands play 18-20.

They haven't had any non-festival shorter sets. Anything can happen but I'm going into this expecting pretty much what we always got. They played long shows with openers for years.

yeah, but they are all pushing 60. 3 hour shows is a lot to ask energy wise.

I'm assuming 2:20-2:30 and anything over that is bonus time. That was usually the deal with an opener. Short of that would be a new era.

I agree. I think around 2 and a half is the likely option. Although I also expect Josh to play a shorter opening set than some of the opening bands have in the past.

On another note… The Gaslight Anthem tweeted a cryptic post about an hour ago.  Hopefully it means a full tour this year. 😁

I could see them playing at Ohana, since he cancelled his solo set there last year.

Guided by Voices plays 3hr shows every night and Robert Pollard is 64. On NYE 2019 they played 100 songs over 4hrs. Eddie is in great shape. I'm sure he surfs for more than 3hrs at a time.

Getting pretty late to be announcing ballpark concerts. Guessing Chicago gets Lolla at end of July and then the band takes off the month of August. Could see some arenas getting added in October.

I think they're totally capable of it and it wouldn't surprise me if they play some 3 hour sets. I'm just talking expectations.

I could see longer sets in the big places, like Boston/Philly/NYC. But other markets I think will be a tad shorter. But who knows.

Agreed. I'm hoping for 28 or so. Just tough when probably 1/4 of that will be all Gigaton songs (which I am, nonetheless, excited to hear). Either way, 28 songs is far more than most bands play so gotta be happy with what we get.

someone from a facebook group claimed a credible source had named four or five locations with dates. I booked a Chicago hotel, refundable of course, just in case.

I’ve had a crazy day today and finally have been able to sit at the computer and plan this out. Man does September look way more fun than May. The order of dates for Leg 1 changes everything for me. Gotta be a 2nd MSG or Camden date thrown in there, it’s a 2 hour drive from New York with no traffic.

By the way, totally skipping Vegas. $1000 flight round trip from DC. Hotels are $500+ a night, gotta buy the concert ticket, and you need casino and food money. Why is it so damn expensive that weekend? It’s $1500 to get a day bed at the pool from 8am-4pm at Circa 😂

Current plan: SD, LA 1&2….MSG, Camden, Nashville, St Louis, Denver
EDC is that weekend - that's why.
Jesus Christ 🤣 why would PJ pick that weekend?

Whatever, I’m excited! Hoping they add a few more new shows
trust me, I get it - I ended up with a 3 event pass to AEW at Mandalay/T-Mobile over Memorial Day Weekend. Wasn't expecting those prices. Was hoping that the show was when I was in town - now debating on extending my vacation or trying to catch another show on the tour.
If I wind up getting tickets for PJ I'm in the same boat, I'll be in town for AEW
