I find it hard to believe that Eddie is gonna head over and play the Stone Pony after playing an entire set down the beach on Saturday.
Also, it would kind of spit in the face of them being opposed to packed in indoor venues, which is what that place will be like, even if they play on the Summer Stage out back.
I think trying to predict where members of Pearl Jam, or any other mega-star “special guests”, are going to be that weekend is a fool’s errand. Get tickets of whichever shows/times/locations sound fun to you, and go have a good time.

If I was staying down there, this would be a no brainer.
I'm from NJ though and staying on my buddy's couch. If we stick around on Saturday there is no way he is gonna wanna go back on Sunday to see the Pumpkins, and I'd rather do that than cross my fingers and hope EV comes out at the Stone Pony.

I grabbed tix for Friday night at Stone Pony. Figure we might as well go if we’re going to be down there, and might not feel up to it after PJ’s set on Saturday.
I did the same, now I see Saturday is sold out and I am questioning if I made the right choice.
Nah you’re good.
Yeah… at the very least you can grab a drink and enjoy some live music in an iconic venue.

Yes, this is where I’m at.
Same here - almost a pilgrimage for Bruce fans (I've never been to the Stone Pony) so regardless of who shows up, will be a blast.

At $41 a ticket I'm rolling the dice!
This.
And not too hard of a stretch to think EV may walk the half mile, to an iconic venue that some of his heroes played out, and enjoy the Stone pony show and possibly jump on the stage for a song or two after a 2hr PJ set. Tangiers is fun anyway but EV likely. If not, will be worth the $ anyway.

Man that’s damn near close to what we’ll see. Only change I could see is maybe Lord Huron later than Patti Smith, but well done
Thanks! I didn't really factor things like tenure or seniority, just who would probably want to make time so they could watch the other bands, hah! They miss live music, too

I’ve heard others say 20-30k. Here’s an image from the Twitter feed from the 2019 fest.
Even before Covid that would look like a bit of a Hellscape to me. And I went to Sea Hear Now in 2019 so I'm probably a dot in this pic. Now, even though I'm sure they'll figure out some way to not have it just be a dense mass of people in front, that still is a no go for me. But I'm glad it sold out, it's outside, it's by the water so more airflow than most places. hopefully everyone will be fine. I'd love to go, but even the jumbotrons would look like ants from as far back as I'd probably end up standing so..... sure hope people post videos!
WOW!
(Thanks for that picture)
I've never been and that gives me an idea how FAR away I'll be.
I'll probably be with the one's in the very back.
That's ok as I just want to be there.
I was pretty far back during the Lumineers set at SHN in 2019. I couldn't see the screens well and couldn't hear them well over people around me chatting. I have tickets for SHN this year but I'm prepared to possibly not have a great experience. I stood in the middle of the crowd for PJ at Jazz Fest in 2010 and the crowd was too much for me. But at Made in America in 2012 I stood at the back of the crowd and had a great time. We'll see how this goes, I guess.
I never liked going to these types of BIG Festivals/outdoor Events with 50-90 Thousand people. But, with al the shit we've been through, I just want to be there. It helps that I live less than an hour away. I'm basically gonna roll in as close to Pearl Jam's set as possible and hope for the best. I HOPE I can at least see the screen, but more important is that I/we can hear them. I know I'm taking that chance but, oh well. Like you said we'll see how this goes.
I feel the same way. Not going to fight to get close. As long as I am comfortable I don't mind being in the back. Did the same at Made in America and had a great time. But can't give up a chance to see/hear PJ within an hour and a half from home. Can't wait for it.
+1. I ll also be way in the back. We all should chill together and have a beer.
Does anyone know if there is anywhere to sit if you just have GA tickets? I saw in photos from last year people brought beach blankets to put on the sand, but I'm guessing in the later hours everyone is standing. Are there chairs/benches anywhere?

Not really anywhere to sit during the performances besides on the ground. There are a bunch of picnic tables in the "food court" area but you can't see the 2 main stages from there

Yeah it’s sit in the sand or stand. No chairs or benches
