So, we know a stream from nugs is obviously not happening and apparently Periscope doesn't exist anymore.  Where would we find something like this happening now (in the unlikely event some kind soul streams it)?

Facebook groups. Join Dimis group if you are not in it yet. There will be plenty. I work the next day at 4am but plan to watch the whole thing. I will try and post links as the pop up and drop out.

I actually had no idea periscope is done. Only used it for PJ shows though.

Hopefully not too many songs from the new album. It’s their worst album of all time, and the show will already be shorter than normal due to the curfew.
I'm actually hoping for the exact opposite.  Gigaton is my up in my top 3 or 4

16 people is a very small number though.

It is fascinating to me that someone can read that article and get a negative out of it or be nervous (not knocking you at all and respect your position) and I come out of it thinking 16 people thats it? Thats a win imo.

It's 16 right now.  Hope the numbers don't spike.  I wonder if they had a vax or negative test policy.

I'm a pretty cautious person.  I'm going because it's my favorite band and its outdoors.  If the MSG show was rescheduled for now- I would be selling my ticket.

I get both sides of this argument. Imo , it’s probably way more than 16 and still shows that regardless of vaccination and negative test requirements, there’s always a chance of it spreading. And if you’re someone who has young kids or live with someone who is vulnerable, it can be concerning. The concern has been very evident to me judging by the low attendance at most concerts lately and the incredibly low prices on the secondary markets.

Was just going to post the number is def higher. Only way to know is to test everyone which will never happen and even then you have no clue where they got it from. Could of been at the preparty or bar after the event or the event itself. Nothing is ever going to be perfect with these set ups and like you said some deem the risk still too great right now.

My kid’s 4th grade class had 11 the first week of school. Unvaccinated of course. 16 in a crowd like that shows how well the vaccines actually work.

Large spread in children translates imo to poor choices by the parents. Polarizing opinion, maybe, but it's not a coincidence that child infection rates are higher where adult infection rates are higher. We are their best defense.

Delta variant vaxed breatkthrough cases seem to be running around 1 in 5/20%ish. The difference being you have a far lower chance of getting severely sick/intubated and/or dying.

We're all taking measured risks with everything right now. If the idea of being at a music festival with a lot of people makes you squeamish - for one reason or another - then I would advise to stay home. If you have the vaccine, and you aren't someone who is immunocompromised, you'll be fine with near certainty. There is also a pretty good chance - more than 0% - you may get it, but you most likely won't be intubated or die.

FWIW, I bought home covid kits to test ourselves after. Also will get a PCR test after 3-4 days. We'll be masking up anytme we're in dense areas (so most of the time).

I say none of the above with offense to anyone, but just calling out the reality of all of it.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe weekend.

100% masked. None of us in the house got it (all vaxed). Other daughter is in middle school and they haven’t had nearly the issue. Luckily it seems like it swept through the school quickly without serious cases.

Spent a weekend with a group where the one unvaccinated person found out they had covid post trip but picked it up pre trip. No one else contracted it from him.

You’re not wrong. I live in Texas so it is what it is. I’d say our district is 70% vaxed but it doesn’t take many idiot parents when 30 kids are eating lunch together for 20 minutes a day. There’s only so much you can do.

Absolutely, I hear ya, man. I should take a step back and say that schools are different in general - not wanting to turn this into a covid thread, but since everyone is hellbent on keeping kids in school no matter what it's going to happen everywhere. And school's will be closing and reopening, closing and reopening, etc, because of it.

For sure, not trying to knock you. I remember going to our first baseball game back in the Phils ballpark and it was unsettling to say the least.

Yeah, once our governor said districts couldn’t do any virtual we knew it was really a matter of time. Shitty feeling as a parent. Luckily her case wasn’t too bad.

    Anyway…see y’all in 2 days!!!
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

I agree but I think you can be "squeamish" and still attend the show, by taking extra precautions.  I'll also be testing myself after the show.
For sure, not trying to knock you. I remember going to our first baseball game back in the Phils ballpark and it was unsettling to say the least.
Oh yea for sure I wasn't offended at all.  I went to MMJ last week, hitting SHN this week, and then taking a break for a long while lol.
