My friend who has tickets for XPN festival this same weekend and is a weather nerd just shared that models are showing lots of rain on Saturday.  I'll be damned if I don't see this show because of rain.  Any amateur meteorologists out there who can put my mind at ease?
Too far out, but I wouldnt sweat it. I just looked and I show rain in the morning, clearing by afternoon and evening.
Yeah, I think he's just put some wishful thinking out there since he was just diagnosed with COVID and won't be going to the festival regardless of what the weather is like.  But, I am looking at packable rain coats on Amazon.  I figure if I have one, I won't need it.  It's the umbrella rule.

This is what it is showing now. It will likely change by then, hopefully for the better. But I am ok with this if it doesn’t. I just hope the forecast doesn’t get worse.

I have a poncho I’ve brought to a dozen shows and it’s never rained when I’ve had it. I’ll definitely pack it.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

I stopped looking at forecasts until the day before/the day of after what happened with my wedding.  The 2 weeks leading up to our wedding, even the night before, the forecast called for downpours and cold weather all day and night (we had an outdoor wedding)

It ended up being sunny and warm the entire day

I agree.  I think it’s more likely for Ed to do a few songs at one of the small stages or pop up gallery tent during the day than to show up to the stone pony.  Considering he has a new album and will be performing a solo set at ohana. Man may need to practice some
    New songs.

Agree with this. If it was like it was in June I think Ed would definitely be there but with a lot hanging on these guys not getting a breakthrough case I wouldn’t be surprised if they were locked down other than when on stage.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

No, they can't move it to the summer stage at that hour.  Shows at the summer stage are subject to the same strict curfew that the main festival is.

    Forcast looks dicey... crap.
  • Hear you. I keep holding on to the NOAA Clime app forecast I use. They're saying the "worst" (precip % of ~35%) would be in the middle of the afternoon, hopefully clears out by 5, 6-ish.

    Yes
So, there is a loophole that no one's talked about yet. And it's a bit of a stretch, BUT...
if Danny is filming the Stone Pony show, he could have applied for a filming permit that would allow for a concert to be recorded after the curfew time (ala night shoots), as long as it was being filmed (and eventually released. Hi, Let's Play Two).
    It's a stretch, but it's completely plausible.
