  • Thanks guys, it is very interesting that everyone has a different group that means surviving life to them. This may not be as easy as I thought.

You never had a song to help with what ever situation you were going through? My god, my entire life has been inspired by music and songs. Maybe I am just lame, but it seemed to take a little bit of the burn out.

but formost and deepest felt have always been "footsteps" Ghost", "half full" and "O'f a Girl" well "Sleight of Hand" that's the song that just soothes the outside world induced rages.
but if I had to pick an all time long standing "rock" ( as in to cling to) type song it would have to be "Indifference" hope that helps alittle. and I will be praying for your friend

any of the early shit where ed was angry and upset, and didn't know his place yet, it comes through in the lyrics and the pain in his voice, skip the later, political stuff (which i love, it just doesn't fit). indifference is a good one, you can try and take the strength of it. then there's the other opinion, to give hopeful songs, rather than the depressed ones like release, and black, because that may get you further into the depression. wow, i'm the greatest help ever ;)

As far as PJ is concerned each of these songs has helped me through an "it".

    alive
    state of love and trust
    breath
i am mine (This song is a key part of my graduate "letter of intent")
    sleight of hand
