    He met Eddie when renting a house in Hawaii or something. They boated around the island/islands together, Leslie and his writing partners(?) and Eddie and his wife, and played some of the songs for Eddie. Eddie liked it and wanted to sing on a song. Instead of taking and old "classic" faith-y hymn they wrote a new hymn for the Eddie collab. 

    Eddie was in the studio with his ukelele for a long time, to his wife surprise. So seems to have put a lot of effort into it.

    Something like that.

    Abe: My wife came across him on Instagram during the early stages of the Pandemic. He was providing amazing entertainment to folks during quarantine. His catch phrase in his videos is .... "Well shit.... what'r y'all doin" and it caught on for his fans. He's been around the block a few times and his popularity is really beginning to shine during his elder years. Hence all the attention. That link I sent will explain a lot to you I think / hope.
